Reserve Command took over CC"B" sector. The 2nd Ren Platoon formerly under CC"3" T;as relieved from mission of guarding bridge at (P76I651) and as• signed to TF Brittion under Reserve Command and moved to Urspelt at I5OO. This platoon was given the mission of reconnoitering the Our River to determine the size of the river in vicinity of (Po45555). This platoon left the outpost line at 1900 and returned at 2250 completing the mission assigned. No eneny con• tact v,-as made. The 2nd Ren Platoon moved vath CC"A" trains f rom Y/ardin to Neider Vfairroaeh. The rem-ainder of Battalion continued in maintenance arri train• ing of gunners and drivers. Casualties: None.

2 Feb. The 2nd Ren Platoon \ra.s assigned the mission of crossing the Our River in the vicinity of (P8665) and to determine enemy activity in vicinity • -T "c^l^^iTii* The platoon T.-as to remain in observation for 30 minutes near the tovm and retum. The platoon v;as unable to cross the river due to high water. Casualties: None.

7 Feb. Company A attached to Reserve Command. The three security sections of Co A m.oved to Hupperdange to guard and evacuate YiVs, 1st Platoon moved to Kalborn and attached to TF Brovm. Co B attached to 17th Airborne Division and moved to Dorscheid at 0830 hours. The 1st platoon attached to 513th Par. Regt. at Kosingen. The 2nd platoon attached to 507th Par. Regt. in vie of (P030626). The 3rd platoon attached to 194th Glider Regt. in Vie of CE at (P8256). Cas• ualties: None.

9 Feb. Company A moved to Hupperdange. The 2nd platoon of Sen Co assigned mission of guarding bridge at (P8565) and carrying mortar ammunition across the Our River. Casualties: None.

10 Feb. Company A and 2nd platoon of Ren Co attached to CC"3". 1st platoon, Co A^ attached to 50th Aped Inf in Vic S of Kalborn. 2nd platoon. Company A attached to 9th Armd Inf at Hupperdange, 3rd platoon, Conpany A attached to 50th Armd Inf and crossed the Our River into . Con5)any B attached to CC"A". 11 Feb. Company "B" relieved from assigr.ment to 17th Airborne Division and re• verted to CC"A", No change in position. The 3rd platoon of Company "A", lo• cated in Vic-of (Po4o667). Casualties: None.

12 Feb. CC"A" took over 17th Airborne Di^rision sector, battalion less Coirpany A attached to-CC'A". 2nd platoon of Ren Co temporarily attached to CC"B" arid then to 2o4th combat Engineers in Vic of (Po42653) on the Our River. The 1st Ren platoon released by Reserve Command and moved to CC"A" trains at Ensher^ ange. Casualties: None.

13 Feb. The 2nd platoon of Co "B" vra.s relieved by the 3rd platoon of Company "C" in Vie of (P83O626) and returned to Dorscheid, CoE^Dany B less 2 platoons roved to Wilv:en'riJ.tz near the close of the period. The 3rd platoon of Company "C" attached to 41st Cav. Ren. Sq. 1st platoon of Co C attached to 69th Tank Bn ard moved to Neidhausen.' 20 Feb, The 3rd platoon of Co A supported the attack of TF Brovm in taking the road junction and high ground in Vic of Fviedrichsseif and Langfulir, 'Germany. The 2nd platoon of CQ A supported the attack of TF B^itton in taking the road junc• tion and high ground in ^ic of Karschelt ard ^ahnen, Gerriiany. Companies B and C supplied the diversionary attack of CC"A" iron positions V/est of the Our River by long range direct fire. 23 Feb. The 2nd platoon of Company A supported the attack of TF Britton in ta>:ing the high ground in Vic of . Late in the day, the 3rd platoon of Co A was relieved from attachment to TF Brovm and attached to TF Duvall and headed south for Obergecliler to Contact the 4th Armored Division, One section of 1st platoon of Co B given mission of direct fire froH V/est of the Our River near Eisenbach on pillboxes East of the river. 28 Feb, 2nd Platoon of Co A crossed the Prum River with TF Brindle and support• ed the advance to Vic Southeast of PI^Dnsfeld. The 1st platoon of Co A supported iF WArd in establishing a bridgehead across the Prum River. The 3rd platoon 01 Co:.Tpany C attached to TF Brown and left Emmelbaum at O43O hrs and crossed the Prum River in order to support the TF in taking the high ground East of Lunebaeh. Casualties: None.

2. The vrerther during this period v;as generally good and quite v.-am. The morale of the unit inproved noticeably due to better fighting conditions, light casualties, and the satisfaction of carrying the fight on to the enejaj^'s- OYjn ground,
