Marianne Hennemann (Königswinter) garnered much recognition for her museum- ready presentation of the works of Karl Otto Götz. "The visitors are fascinated by early works“, the gallery owner determined. Andreas Petzold from the Galerie am Elisengarten (Aachen) met with great enthusiasm for the special show with works by Fritz Schaefler. "I even had an enquiry from a museum", the gallery owner reported. There were "bombastic reactions" at the stand of the Dierking gallery () to the Belgian painter Jef Verheyen, whose oeuvre has hardly been present to date. The works of the constructivist Boris Kleint found the attention they deserve with the Setareh gallery (Düsseldorf).

They were completely satisfied at the stand of the gallery von Vertes (Zurich), which sold Mario Marini's "Acrobata", a drip painting by Sam Francis and a series of other high class works to collectors, and reserved various works, including for a Swiss museum. "It is apparent that a new collecting field is opening up for young collectors", according to the Düsseldorf resident. "We always have an art-loving and informed public in Cologne", praised gallery owner Dr. Doris Möllers (Münster); "this time there were also people from the Benelux countries at the stand". For example, a sheet by Käthe Kollwitz went to a collector from Brussels for a five digit sum. The gallery Persiehl & Heine (Hamburg), which

This also applies to the 3/8 gallery Dittrich & Schlechtriem (Berlin), which also participated in Cologne Fine Art for the first time and sold a large format painting by Maki Na Kamura. The young van Horn gallery (Düsseldorf), which also sold collages by Jens Ulrich, among other things, also received positive reactions. "I encounter a new clientele at Cofa", gallery owner Daniela Steinfeld determined to her satisfaction. The Werkhallen | Obermann | Burkhard (Remagen) also had their first appearance at Cologne Fine Art: "For us it was the right decision to come here", says Axel Burkhard; "Cofa is on its way to becoming a small Tefaf. We are completely satisfied; it went wonderfully well for us". The gallery owners from Remagen were extremely successful with the large format photographic still life works of Vera Mercer. "The fair is attractive and well-organised", says Vincent Amiaux from the Galerie des Modernes of Paris, another fair debutante. The Asian art dealer Michael Woerner (Hong Kong) was just as pleased with the knowledgeable, well-informed public as Johannes Schilling from the Cologne gallery Boisserée. "The customer base is good and interesting", confirmed Woerner, who was also able to win new customers. "I came with cautious expectations and was surprised by the success", says Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen (Mainz) about her first appearance at Cologne Fine Art. "I feel quite at home here and think I will be coming back".

Cologne Fine Art Prize 2014 goes to Leiko Ikemura This year's Cologne Fine Art Prize was conferred jointly by Koelnmesse and the Bundesverband Deutscher Galerien und Kunsthändler e.V. (BVDG/German Association of Galleries and Art Dealers) on the preview day to the Japanese Leiko Ikemura, who lives and works in Cologne and Berlin. The artist was honoured for her exceptional artistic work in the field of graphics, sculpture and painting. The Cologne Fine Art Prize is endowed with 10,000 Euro. The special show of the prizewinner and the solo presentation of the gallery Karsten Greve (Cologne, Paris, St. Moritz) representing her received a great deal of attention from fair visitors.
