It was a deeply moving experience for the museum’s staff, stakeholders, and publics. The long-anticipated reopening also revitalized Amsterdam as a vibrant, dynamic arts community. Some 2,500 works from our collections were installed in the historic building, and, for the first time, we were able to present exhibitions in the bold and innovative space designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects, which is at once a functional and aesthetic tour de force. Following the extraordinary and unforgettable official opening by Her Royal Highness Queen Beatrix on September 22, the museum welcomed more than 300,000 visitors in its first three months, exceeding all our expectations.

The Sword of The Spirit December, 2017 Saint Paul’s Church www.SaintPaulsBrookfield.com (203) 775-9587 Looking for the Light Together Transforming Lives Through Jesus The darkness has not overcome it. "Send out your light and your truth.” Psalm 43:3 Vol. LXIV-No. 12 Dear Friends, The Sword of the Spirit was started n our Advent liturgy, we symbolically look for the light in 1954 by the Rev. together, for at times, our lives may feel darkened and the light A. Pierce Middleton I difficult to see on our own. Like the Psalmist (27:9), we may cry out to God, "Do not hide your face from me." Even so, we continue to seek God as the gift of faith compels us toward the light of Christ. As we go through difficult times, God matures us through our searching, and we do not give up hope as Advent people. We believe that the light shines in the darkness and that the darkness has not overcome it; we believe that God's purifying hand is at work, even when we fail to understand it at the time; we press on believing that God is working all things for God for those who love God, and are called according to His purposes. We need one another in seeing the light. Together, we seek, and we find, the Light of the world, Jesus St. Paul’s Church Christ. 174 Whisconier Road Brookfield, Connecticut 06804 Faithfully,.
