Day 2: Delhi – Mandawa (260 km/ approx. 5-6 hours route) Morning after breakfast drive to Mandawa. On arrival check in your hotel.

Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. It is part of region. Mandawa is famous for its wall paintings of fort and havelis.

Later visit the beautiful village of Shekhawati, here, you will be awestruck at the architectural splendor of the numerous Havel is built in 18th and 19th century by the rich merchants as their residence. The fort of Mandawa was founded in the 18th century. Thakur Nawal Singh, son of Shardul Singh, founded the fort in vikram samvat 1812 (1755 AD). The fort dominates the town with a painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows. Built as per a medieval theme, the castle of Mandawa is adorned with beautiful frescoes. Rooms in the palace are decorated with paintings of Lord Krishna, exquisite carvings and amazing mirror work. The palace's Durbar Hall houses a number of antiques and paintings.

Day 3: Mandawa-Bikaner (188 km/ Approx 4 - 5 hour’s route) Morning After breakfast you will drive a little over five hours to Bikaner. Upon arrival check- into the hotel,

Prior to middle 15th-century rule, the region that is Bikaner was a barren wilderness called "Jangladesh".[1] The territory forming the boundaries of Bikaner was ruled by Jat dynasty of Jats :[2] The north-eastern and north- western Rajasthan, known by the name Jangala Desh since Mahabharata times, was inhabited by Jat clans ruled by their own chiefs and largely governed by their own customary law.[3] The chiefs enjoyed a large amount of autonomy, from their nominal overlord, the sultanate of Delhi.

Day 4: Bikaner; This morning after your breakfast at the hotel you will visit city of Bikaner. Bikaner city is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh the fort is distinguished by 37 profusely decorated palaces. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal temple. The Royal Chapel is called Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated.

Day 5: Bikaner - Jaisalmer (317 km/ Approx 7 - 8 hour’s route) Morning After breakfast you will drive a little over eight hours to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival check - into the hotel ,

Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading center and princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert. Known as the "Golden City," it's distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture. Dominating the skyline is Jaisalmer Fort, a sprawling hilltop citadel buttressed by 99 bastions. Behind its massive walls stand the ornate Maharaja's Palace and intricately carved Jain temples.

Day 6: Jaisalmer This morning after breakfast you will visit the Jaisalmer Fort, Havelies, Manak Chowk, Gadisar Lake, also visit painted & colorful market. In the afternoon go for an excursion to Sam Sand Dunes (40 Kms from Jaisalmer city). In the evening take camel safari at desert and enjoy the sun set. Later drive back to Jaisalmer and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (268 km/ Approx 6 - 7 hour’s route) Morning after breakfast you will drive to Jodhpur .Upon arrival check in at the hotel.

Jodhpur is a city in the Thar Desert of the northwest Indian state of Rajasthan. Its 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort is a former palace that’s now a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborates royal palanquins (sedan chairs). Set on on a rocky outcrop, the fort overlooks the walled city, where many buildings are painted the city’s iconic shade of blue.

Day 8: Jodhpur; This morning after your breakfast at the hotel you will visit the Jodhpur, visit Mehrangarh fort, founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha (after whom the city is named). It is intricately adorned with long carved panels and latticed windows of exquisite designs in red sandstone, Jaswant Thada - the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II & Mandore Garden.

Day 9: Jodhpur-Ranakpur - Udaipur (270 Kms/Approx 6 – 7 hrs route) Morning after breakfast you will drive a little over seven hours to Udaipur. Still very much a traditional Rajput town, Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh, in 1567. Eklingji, located 22 kilometres north of Udaipur, is a complex of 108 temples. Built in 734 AD, it was chiseled out of sandstone and marble, and enclosed by high walls. The temple is dedicated to the family deity of the rulers of Mewar.

Nagda, located 11 kilometres from Eklingji, is one of the ancient palaces of Mewar, dating back to the 16th century AD. You will visit the Sas-Bahu group of temples. Literally meaning, “Mother-in-law, daughter-in-law” temples, these are amongst the most exquisitely carved temples in India.

Pushkar is a famous town in Rajasthan, India. Pushkar refers to being born from flower. According to Hindu mythology, a swan was released by the Gods. Its beak carried a lotus. The idea was to get that lotus fall to the earth. At that spot where the lotus would fall, Brahma was supposed to perform a big yagna. Visit to Brahma temple on arrival.

Day 12: Pushkar This morning after breakfast you will proceed for a tour of Pushkar, Pushkar is a town bordering the Thar Desert, in the northeastern Indian state of Rajasthan. It's set on Pushkar Lake, a sacred Hindu site with 52 Ghats (stone staircases) where pilgrims bathe. The town has hundreds of temples, including 14th-century Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, dedicated to the god of creation, which has a distinctive red spire and walls inlaid with pilgrims’ silver coins.

Day 14: Jaipur This morning after breakfast proceed for visit to Amer Fort followed by city tour

Amber - 12 kilometers from Jaipur is the deserted city of Amber and the Amber Fort. It was once the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire. From the road you can climb up to the Fort in approximately 10 minutes, but it is also possible to ride up on elephant back. In addition, there is a small Kali Temple on the premises.

Well known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur is the state capital and largest city of Rajasthan. Most of the structures in the old walled city are built with pink sandstone, giving the city its name. You will visit the City Palace which houses a museum containing rare manuscripts, paintings and an armoury. Then, proceed on to the Jantar Mantar Observatory, built in the 17th century by Jai Singh, a famous astronomer. The observatory has a 900-foot-high sundial. The Central Museum, founded in 1876, has a large collection of antiques. You will drive past the Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of Winds”. Hawa Mahal, built in a unique design, is the landmark of Jaipur, and was used by the ladies of the court to watch the daily goings-on in the street below .

Day 15: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (260 Kms/ Approx 3 – 4 hrs route Morning after breakfast continue drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri - was built by Emperor Akbar, and is home to many historic buildings. He wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters, but he had to withdraw due to water scarcity. It is the best example of the fusion of Hindu and Muslim architecture. The tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti enshrines the burial place of the Sufi saint who lived a religious life here. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a heritage site. Evening, arrive and check into hotel at Agra.

Day 16: Agra Morning breakfast at hotel.

Agra Fort --Construction was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son , Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan, later made additions. It houses the Dewan-e-Khas and Dewan-e- Aam (Halls of Private and Public Audience). Its walls and palaces are a silent witness to the rise and fall of the Imperial Mughal Empire and feature a variety of ingenious Islamic inspired devices (some decorative, some more practical) within the fabric of the buildings.

Itmad-ud-daulah -- On the opposite bank of Yamuna River is this exquisite tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the Persian Wazir, or Chief Minister, of Emperor Jahangir. Noor Jahan, the beautiful daughter of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who married the Emperor Jahangir, constructed the tomb. Itmad-ud-daulah was the first Mughal structure built from marble, and the first to make extensive use of the Pietra Dura technique, so characteristic of the Taj. Extremely fine latticework passages and beautifully patterned surfaces of the tomb are examples of fine craftsmanship. The monument is also known as ‘Baby Taj’.

In Old Delhi, you will see the Jama Masjid, built in 1650 AD, and one of the largest mosques in India. Drive through the fabled Chandni Chowk (literally, 'Silver Street'), once the most opulent perfume market of India, but now a bustling market, good for hunting down old and new silver and gold from jewellers whose forefathers served the emperors. Tour the Red Fort (closed on Mondays), dating back as far as 1639-48 AD, and built by Emperor Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal. Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.

New Delhi was planned and built by the British in the 1920s and is characterised by Sir Edwin Lutyen's monumental architecture. You will then drive past Safdarjung's Tomb (1735 AD) and the 12th century Qutab Minar, considered one of the most perfect towers in the world, measuring 72 metres high. Nearby, amidst the ruins of the Quwwat ul Islam Mosque, stands the iron pillar, which is over 1500 years old and seemingly immune to rust. Drive through the city viewing the Diplomatic Enclave, government buildings, Central Secretariat, President's House and Parliament House. Visit India Gate and the Birla Temple. Drive past the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built in 1710 AD, and continue through Connaught Place, New Delhi's main shopping area .
