No confusion, Pakatan to pursue no-confidence vote against Najib, says Guan Eng Malaysian Insider Oct 21, 2015 By Looi Sue- Chern

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said would continue to pursue the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, despite Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia's move to rule out the motion for the current sitting.

He told reporters in Penang today that he was rushing to Parliament in Kuala Lumpur to address the matter, and insisted there was no confusion between DAP and PKR regarding the issue.

Lim, who is Bagan MP, said there was no disagreement between the two opposition parties regarding the motion, adding that DAP supported it.

He said DAP only did not agree that a motion of such importance should be tabled by just any lawmaker, and recommended that it come from opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr .

The motion was initiated by Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian who submitted a notice to the Dewan Rakyat for the motion to be tabled. The motion is the 25th item in the order paper.

Following Lim's complaint, Dr Wan Azizah said yesterday that Hee would retract the motion and that she would file the no-confidence motion for Pakatan Harapan.

"That has been resolved," Lim said, adding that it was only the media creating confusion when there was none.

"Our stand is very clear," he said in a press conference at his Komtar office today.

Yesterday, Pandikar said any motion to the Dewan Rakyat must be filed 14 days before the start of a Parliament sitting as required under the standing order. The current sitting began on Monday.

He said if Dr Wan Azizah, who is Permatang Pauh MP, wanted to file the motion, she must remember that it could only be heard at the next Parliament sitting. – October 21, 2015.
