Pm Modi’s Swearing-In Biggest-Ever Event Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in event at Rashtrapati Bhavan is all set to be a grand event on Thursday.

Nearly 8,000 guests will attend the oath ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, making it the biggest-ever event held in the historic place. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 PM, will be attended by the leaders of the BIMSTEC member countries. Apart from the world leaders, chief ministers, party leaders and members of Opposition, diplomats, ambassadors and celebrities will also be present at the event. More than 100 non-resident Indians or NRIs will also fly to to witness the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister. This is for the first time that 8,000 guests will be attending the swearing-in ceremony, informed Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson. The swearing-in will be held in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the same venue as in 2014, was attended by about 5,000 guests. Earthquake Tremors Felt In Moderate intensity earthquake tremors measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale today felt in some parts of Jharkhand and West Bengal on Sunday morning.

In West Bengal tremors were felt in Bankura, Purulia, Durgapur and Burdwan while in Jharkhand it was felt in Bokaro, Giridih, Ranchi, Jamtara and Dumka districts. An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale hit Bankura at 10:39 am and at the same time, tremors were felt in Bokaro, Giridih, Ranchi, Jamtara and Dumka, official sources said. No casualties have been reported yet, said the official.

Modi Elected As Nda Parliamentary Leader : Prime Minister Narendra Modi was unanimously elected leader of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance – led by BJP), the decision was taken in a meeting of NDA’s newly elected MPs and senior leaders held at Parliament’s Central Hall at New Delhi on Saturday.

Modi is elected the leader of the parliamentary party of 353 MPs unanimously, announced BJP president Amit Shah. Shah said, that 353 Lok Sabha members have extended their support to Modi. Addressing the NDA leaders in Central Hall of the Parliament, Modi said, people have accepted NDA because of its work. He said, the nation rewards hard work and honesty and it is the strength of this country. Modi added: “a massive mandate increases responsibility and NDA is beginning a new journey from today. A Muslim family in has named their newborn son Narendra Damodardas Modi. The child was born at UP’s Gonda district on May 23, the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his party (BJP) returned to power with a massive majority. My wife Mehnaaz Begum wanted to name our son after the Prime Minister but her family members opposed the decision, said Mushtaq Ahmad the father of the newborn child. “Despite oppose of her family members I supported my wife and the baby was named after Modi,” he added. Alliance Air To Connect Bhubaneswar, Raipur With Jharsuguda JSN: Alliance Air is all set to connect two State capitals- Bhubaneswar and Raipur from the Veer Surendra Sai airport in Jharsuguda. Alliance Air, the subsidiary company of Air India limited will start its flight operations from June 1, 2019.

The airlines’ company was awarded three routes- Bhubaneswar, Raipur and Kolkata under the Regional Connectivity (RCS) Udan scheme 3.0, informed SK Chauhan Director Jharsuguda Airport. Many officials, employees and other corporate houses were eagerly waiting for the resumption of flights on these routes. The airlines company has set up necessary infrastructure and also started ticket bookings, he said. “Alliance Air shall operate ATR-72 type aircraft on these routes with a seating capacity for 72 passengers. The flying time to both these capital cities (Bhubaneswar and Raipur) from Jharsuguda will now take nearly an hour which otherwise takes nearly six to ten hours by train,” he added. Official sources said the flight from Bhubaneswar airport will land at Jharsuguda at 1010 hours and deport back after a brief stopover of 25 minutes to Bhubaneswar. Similarly, the flight from Raipur will touch Jharsuguda airfield at 1815 hours and depart at 1840 hours. China Tests Prototype Magnetic Levitation Train, Maximum Speed 600 Kmph GNS/Beijing: Taking a step forward in the development of the nation in public transport with the hassle-free way with speed, China test rides a prototype magnetic levitation train with a designed maximum speed of 600 kmph, which its manufacturers say could pose major competition to the airline industry. The train designed and made by the CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co, a wholly owned subsidiary of China, was unveiled on Thursday to the media in the eastern port city of Qingdao in Shandong province. Once operationalised, it could pose major competition to the airlines, its manufacturers said. It can help check and optimize key technologies and core system components of the high-speed maglev system and lay a technological basis for an engineering prototype, Ding Sansan, head of the train’s research and development team and deputy chief engineer of CRRC Qingdao, said. “The prototype has already achieved static levitation and is in ideal condition,” Mr. Sansan told media in Qingdao. “We are building an experimental centre and a trial production centre for high-speed maglev trains and expect to put them into operation in the second half of the year,” he said, adding that research and development of a five-carriage engineering prototype is proceeding smoothly.
