Hitchbot tours 19 Wing

On June 13 a hitchbot arrived at the front gate of 19 Wing Comox to begin what Calgary students hope will be a cross-country adventure for one of their creations. The hitchbot was welcomed by 12 Military Police Flight and then promptly sent on a tour of the base. A report of the visit was sent to the fourth and fi fth grade students at Erin Woods School with information to help them learn about the role of the base and the missions of 19 Wing units. Twenty two hitchbots built by the class have been sent on adventures across Canada with lists of questions attached in a small booklet that each host will answer so the students learn more about Canada and what it means to others to be Canadian.
