TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE: you must be a member of the Austin media community. You do not have to be a member of AWM, but you must add your email address to the AWM database in order to receive the ballot. Once the ballot has been sent out, you cannot be added to that round of voting.

Only media professionals in Austin are allowed to vote. Feel free to forward this email to other individuals within your station or agency and let them know that they must register their email address by February 29th COB to vote. Otherwise, they will not receive the ballot and they will not be able to vote in that round.

In accordance with Article VI, Section 4.2 of the Bylaws of the Alliance for Women in Media, the Nominating Committee herein presents its recommended slate and accompanying biographies of Officers and Directors to be impaneled in conjunction with the Annual Business Meeting of AWM. http://www.allwomeninmedia.org

The Nominating Committee's recommended slate of Officers and Directors is representative of a detailed examination of a number of impressive nominees. The duty of the Nominating Committee is to propose a slate of candidates who combine leadership capabilities, geographic diversity and an absolute commitment to the future of women in media. With the presentation of this slate, we believe we have fulfilled our duty.

This memorandum also serves as the official notice of the AWM Annual Business Meeting, which is scheduled from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Discovery Communications (One Discovery Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910).

We ask that you exercise your right to vote either by approving the recommended slate or if you wish, substituting write-in candidate(s) by completing that portion of the ballot. We require that all completed ballots be returned either by mail or fax to AWM National Headquarters no later than Friday, March 9, 2012, where the results will be tabulated. Late returns will be rendered void.
