Minneola has been without a pastor all the year. This charge is peculiarly situated, being isolated from any other. J\ sawmill which furnished employment for the people has heen shut down for three years; the people have moved away in quest of work and there were not enough left lo justify the appointment of a pastor. Tarpon Spring·s has had a most successful year under the pa;:torage of G. II. Northrop. There has been a steady advance in all lines. An annex has been added to the church, which has been fitted up as a gymnasium where the pastor meets the lloys' Club on week evenings. A piano has been secu red fo r the Ep worth League. The whole of. these imrrovernents cost !J;l,200.00, which amount " ·as folly paid al the Third Quarterly Conference. This charg·e of its O\\'n free will agreed to surrentlcr its mission arv appropriation for next year, believing- it to he their duty to help a weaker charge and promising to more than make up the difference on the pastor's salary. 11rothcr Northrop, his \riic and family arc greatly beloved hy the whole community ;L11d the cry from every qnarter is, "Se11cl him hack." Okahumplw a1Hl Fruitland Park were supplied hy J. C'. Sul iivan and J. II. Creppcn for the first part of thc"yl'ar. In Oc tober J. J. Thompson, from the hounds nf the Cencsl'c Confer ence, was appointed to the work. ancl as a result nf his pastoral visiting ancl efficient preaching- the charge g·ives grl'all'r promise than it has rlone for years. Upon my appointment to the dis trict, 'I'. n. \\'i lher. from the Northwest Indiana Conference, \\as appointed to St. l'cters burg; he took hold nf thin ,:.?,·s \\'ilh a 1naskrly hand, as his µ;oocl report which he liring·s to Conference will show. A new par sonag-e was ! ~o ught abont Confcrl'ncc timl' last yca1-. and in Feb ntary, twenty-five ln111drccl dollars was raised to p;ty fnr it. \Ve predict for him much success in this promising· fidd.
