East West Rail work notification

Dear Neighbour,

As per previous notifications, Alliance would like to inform you of disruptive works which are taking place in Bletchley.

We are currently carrying out piling activities on the in order to build hoarding along the railway, and to install new overhead line equipment. Piling is driving steel sections into the ground to provide a foundation which will enable the construction of a solid hoarding at ground level. This is not only crucial for the protection of our workforce but will also allow further activities associated with the upgrading of the Bletchley Flyover to take place during the day, rather than at night to minimise further disruption.

These works are only permitted to be undertaken when the West Coast Main line is closed due to the proximity to the operational railway. These works are continually reviewed with Council.

We appreciate that these works are disruptive to the local area, and we are doing what we can to minimise the noise by using noise reducing equipment.

Works will take place every Saturday night (including some midweek nights) and will be completed by early November. Indicative working hours are:

• Saturday: 11:00 pm to Sunday 11:00 am • Midweek: 11:00 pm to 5:00 am or 1:00 am to 4:00 am

Our working hours are dictated by the times we are granted possession of the railway, this can vary from week to week. East West Rail Alliance would like to apologise for any disruption caused during our works. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit www.networkrail.co.uk/contactus or call: 24 hr helpline on 03457 11 41 41
