It is important for us at TAP to discover wines that reflect the quality, richness and variety of Portuguese grapes. In order to reach a large number of producers, the company called on ViniPortugal to find out about the white, red and sparkling wines from the Wine Commission in each of the country’s regions.

Following an innovative on-board wine tasting, we were able to note the characteristics of each wine, determine what makes them more interesting at altitudes and identify those that will complement the in-flight meal.

TAP's new wine list is the result of careful selection by a panel of renowned Portuguese and Brazilian specialists.

Three Portuguese wines served on-board our aircraft were acclaimed by the American "Global Traveler" magazine as being among the best wines served by across the world.

In-flight meals must not only be safe and delicious but also accurate in weight; therefore, Pre- there are rules for even each ingredient's weight. We conduct solid pre-cooking under certain limitations.

Cooking

Cooking details are well planned so that are in the best condition when served to passengers. Ingredients are far better than those used in hotels. We cook selected seasonal ingredients with the best culinary uses.

BAKERY

Using two large ovens, we bake 4,500 loaves of bread each day, from standard baguettes to rolls with seasonal ingredients kneaded into the dough. Needless to say, the dough is made by us. We produce bread for two airports at the Narita Inflight Catering Factory.
