CARDINALS CARAVAN SET TO COVER FOUR STATES IN FOUR DAYS Current Major Leaguers and Cardinals’ Top Minor League Players Scheduled to Appear

ST. LOUIS (January 5, 2011)– The St. Louis Cardinals announced today the schedule for the team’s 2011 Cardinals Caravan which will make stops in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Tennessee. The Cardinals will embark on five separate caravans, scheduled around the Winter Warm-Up weekend, January 14-17. Two caravans will depart on Friday, January 14 through Saturday, January 15; one caravan will make appearances on Saturday January 15 through Sunday, January 16 and the final two caravan trips are slated for Sunday and Monday, January 16-17. The caravans are scheduled to visit 19 total cities, including the respective ballparks of local minor league affiliates Memphis (Tennessee), Springfield (Missouri) and Quad Cities (Davenport, Iowa). Several current Cardinals players such as Jaime Garcia, Colby Rasmus and David Freese will take part in the promotional caravans, as well as numerous other veterans and future stars. Those players include Allen Craig, Kyle McClellan, , Mitchell Boggs and others. Minor-league future stars include former first- round draft pick and 2010 organizational -of-the-year , 2010 organizational player-of-the- year Matt Carpenter and 2010 first-round draft pick Zach Cox. Fans will also be able to meet some of their favorite former players as Cardinals Alumni , Danny Cox, Jack Clark, Ken Dayley, Cal Eldred, Rex Hudler, Steve Kline, John Mabry, Kerry Robinson, Jason Simontacchi and others will accompany the current players. Cardinals announcers Rick Horton, Al Hrabosky, Mike Claiborne, Jay Randolph and John Rooney will serve as Caravan emcees and team mascot Fredbird will also be on hand at select stops.
