Governor {Ad ministrn­ tor] of is pleased to create one new Forest Division to be known as Tlabung Forest Division under Forest Department with its head quarters at Tlabu ng comprisin g of the existing territorial Forests Ran ges, namely. Tlabung Range, Buarpui Range, Lungsen Range,Chaw ngt- Range and ' tarpara Range by curving o ut of t he existing Lunglci Forest Division.

BOU, ' DARY D[ ~CR IPTI ON OF T LAB L" NG FOREST DIVISION: NOr'-T H : The Northern boundary sta rts from the meeting point of Internation al boundary of India and Bangladesh at the source of Sazuk lui, the boundary line runs directly fo rwards east to meet a t the surf curve of river Tuilianpui uo to the confluence of Mar r iver. It then follows Ma rlui upstream following the inter Dis­ trict boun dary of Aizawl and Lunglei District curving ou t from Marlui at the .cro­ ssing point of Mar lui th ro ugh Pukzing and Laisawral then follows along the inter District boundary and ultimately falls to Tluwn g river.

EAST : It then follows river upstream towards South till it reaches the confluence of boundary stream of Serte and Lungdai village. Then it follows the said stream upto its Source and CO mes up to the inter village bou ndary which is also the tri butary of Khawkraw lui. It then falls to Khawkraw lui and meets river De. It then follows De downstream and meets Kau river. It. the n r uns along Kau river and ultimately falls to Phairuang river. Fro m there the boundary follows Phairuang river upstream upt o Lunglei to Tlabung BRTF Road . Then It follows Phairuang river fur ther upstream upto the co nfluence of Rua ngte lui. It then fol­ lows Ruangte lui upstream upto its SOU rce (Chithar village). 1 hen it follows inter , village foot path towards South from Chi ll ar to Vaisam, to M . utla ng then tow­ ards Diltlang where it meets Kawrang lui on way before reaching Diltlan g. It then follows Kawrang lui downstream along the inter District boundary of Lung­ lei and Chhi rntuip ui District upto Cha wngte river Ex- IO/86 2

NORTH : The boundary starts from the Indo-Ban gladesh boundar y at Sazuk lui three miles south of L. Sari village. The boundary turn easternl y direction cutting through Pua nkhai Reserved Forest two milt' s so uth of Puankhai village and meets river Tuilianpui.

EAST : The boundary follows river Tuilianpui do wnstream upto the confluence of river Tui chawng. Then the boundary follows r iver Tuichawng upstream till it reaches Chhimtuipu i and Lunglei District bo undary.

SOUTH : From the river Tuichawng the bou ndary follows Chhimtuipui and Lunglei District boundary till it reaches river Khawthlangtuipui. Then the boun­ dary f 0 1l0Wi river Khawthlangtuipui downstream upto confluence of Sazuklui,

WEST : Then the boundary follow' Sazuklui follo wing Indo-Banglad esh bounda­ ry upstream and meets the starting point.

BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION OF CHAWNGTERA NG E WITH ITSHEAD· QUARTERS AT C HAWNGTE NORTH : Fro .n the meeting poinl of Chhawhchhilui and Ph ilrua ng the boun­ dary follows river Phairu ang ups tream upto the confl uence of Ruan gte lui. Then the boundary follows Ru angte lui upstream upto its source and meats Chithar village.

EAST : The eastern boundary of Chawngte Range follows the eastern boun- dary of Tlabung Forest Division. ( SOUTH : The southern boundary of Chawngte Range f.,11 0\\5 Lunglei and Chhimtuipui District, boundary whioh is also boundary of Tlr bung Forest DiVi­ sion upto Chawngte village. Ex-IO/86 4

EAST: The bounda ry ru ns uptsrearn towards south along h river Tla wng till it reaches the village bounda ry between L ungda i and Serte V'Ilage.

SO UTH: The bo undary follows the said boun dary st ream I' 1st ream) towa rds west upto sadd le crossing inter-village footpath bet ween Lun -r' i and Serre and then meets th e Source of another st ream which is th e bell tdary st ream of Lungdai and Sene village. WEST : The boundary follows riv ~r Kau towa rds northernly direction (Upstream) upto the conf] u~ nce of ~Ul~en [Tuisenchhuah], It proceeds further towards north following the said Kau rtver upstream upto its source and reaches at the saddle near Thorang liang. It then meets Luangphum lui and follows the said stream (downstream) and ultimately meets Mar river, It then folJows Mar river (up­ tream) upto the sta rting point.

BO UNDARY DESCRIPTION OF MARPARA RANGE WITH TH E HEAD­ QUARTER S AT MARPARA

NO RTH: Starting from the source of Sazuk lui it follows the international boundary between Bangladesh and India towards east up to Tuiliau pul. It then follows River Tuilianpui upstream upto the confluence of Mar river. It then fol. lows Mar river upstream upto the confluence of Lungphum lui.

EAST: It follows Lungphum lui upstream upto saddle near Thorangtlang and , crosses the said saddle and falls to the source of Kau River. It follows Kau ri­ ver downstream uptn the confluence of Zaireng stream (Zairengchh uah).

\ - .....sO UTH : It then follows Zairenglui upstream upto its source nea r the Hruizam "I village. It then falls at the source of Tui kawilui towards west following the river downstream upto river Tuilianpui. From the river TuiJianpu i it goes directly to­ wards the West (about two miles south of Phankhai village) parallel to latitude line and meets Sazuk river.

WEST : It follows Sazuk river upstream following internatior.al bo undary of In­ dia and Bangladesh and meets the starting point.
