Rabbit Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat -associated 1 light chain 3 beta (MAP1A/MAP1B LC3B, ATG8F)

Instruction Manual

Catalog Number PK-AB718-7581 Synonyms Microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 beta, MAP1A/1BLC3, MAP1A/MAP1B LC3B, MAP1A/MAP1B light chain 3B, MAP1ALC3, ATG8F, -related protein LC3B, LC3B Description Microtubule-associated (MAPs) regulate microtubule stability and play critical roles in neuronal development and plasticity. MAP1LC3B belongs to the MAP1 LC3 family and it includes 3 different light chains, LC1, LC2 and LC3. MAP1LC3B is involved in formation of autophagosomal vacuoles (). It is most abundant in heart, brain, skeletal muscle and testis. MAP1LC3B is essential for autophagy and associated to the membranes after processing. Quantity 100 µg Source / Host Rabbit Immunogen MAP1LC3B antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid peptide near the amino terminus of human MAP1LC3B. Purification Method Affinity chromatography purified via peptide column. Clone / IgG Subtype Polyclonal antibody Species Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat Specificity MAP1LC3B antibody is human, mouse and rat reactive. Multiple isoforms MAP1LC3B are known to exist. MAP1LC3B antibody is predicted to not cross-react with MAP1LC3A or MAP1LC3C Formulation Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. Reconstitution During shipment, small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200 μl or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap. Storage & Stability Antibody can be stored at 4ºC for three months and at -20°C for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures. Applications E, WB, IHC, IF |Note: Antibody might be suitable for other applications not tested so far. Optimal concentrations for each application have to be determined indivudually. MAP1LC3B antibody can be used for detection of MAP1LC3B by Western blot at 1 - 2 µg/ml. Antibody can also be used for Immunohistochemistry starting at 5 µg/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 µg/mL. Images Available upon request.
