The Dean of all Mid-American Conference coaches with 159 career wins, Akron’s Ter- ry Bowden enters his fifth season in 2016 at the helm of the UA program. He was named the Zips’ 27th all-time head coach on Dec. 22, 2011, but is just the seventh TERRY person to hold the position since 1960.

Bowden ranks sixth nationally among active Division I head coaches in career wins. Junior WR Jerome Lane accounted for a career-high 196 yards and two of Akron’s touchdowns, while Senior WR JoJo Natson and sophomore PK Tom O’Leary did the scoring for the Zips. Natson put the senior JoJo Natson tallied 90 yards for three touchdowns in his Zips’ debut.
