Gangs are feared as the most dangerous perpetrators of social violence. In gang communities ‘at-risk’ youth are subject to social exclusion, unemployment and domestic/street violence often joining gangs for alternative solutions. In the past, as an attempt to improve citizen security and attract voters, the government of El Salvador introduced a package of controversial anti-gang laws designed as a temporary means to criminalize gangs, violating several codes of international human rights.

Extras - Episode One by Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant COLD OPEN FADE IN: We are watching a TV biopic of the life of Lord Nelson. It is England, 1805. Lady Hamilton is running across a lawn towards a carriage that is being loaded by manservants. ROSS KEMP as Horatio Nelson is standing nearby. LADY HAMILTON Horatio. Ross turns to face Lady Hamilton. ROSS Emma. What are you doing here? LADY HAMILTON I couldn't bear to let you go without saying goodbye. ROSS You shouldn't have come, Emma. People will talk. LADY HAMILTON Let them talk. I'm tired of hiding our love away. I'm not ashamed of how I feel. We cut behind the scenes to see ANDY MILLMAN waiting off camera, dressed as a footman. He is watching the action, waiting for his cue. ROSS Neither am I. But we both know we shouldn't be together. LADY HAMILTON Shouldn't? Who says we shouldn't? Behind the scenes, Andy is tapped on the shoulder. He walks forward and loads his crate onto the back of the carriage. We see him appear in the background of the film clip. ROSS My conscience. My conscience tells me everything I feel for you is wrong. But my heart, my heart says I can't live without you. Andy stands by the carriage. LADY HAMILTON Promise me you'll return. ROSS I promise. Because if Napoleon doesn't kill me, then being away from you surely will. 2. Ross and Lady Hamilton kiss passionately. From behind their heads we see Andy emerge, edging himself into the frame.

  • My Life Is a Series of People Saying Goodbye 2
My Life Is A Series Of People Saying Goodbye Dan Rebellato Final Draft (February 2011) The play contains a series of crossfades between scenes as character, actor, conversation, and setting all change at different times. I’ve indicated character like this: 1. Actor and character united: JANET Hello 2. JANET actor speaking JANE’s lines: JANET/JANE Hello This means playing Jane’s lines in the voice of Janet. If there is a whole sequence of lines for JANET/JANE, it might be interesting to experiment with changing character voice slowly over the exchanges. 2 High on a mountainside. Wind whipping in our ears. Two mountaineers are on a ledge halfway up a mountain. SCOTT Well hello mountains. BEN Didn’t I tell you? SCOTT You told me, sure, but this. BEN I know. SCOTT The expanse of it all. The sun. I mean, you feel closer to the sun. What’s that all about? BEN Well, you are closer to the sun. SCOTT Yeah but you really feel it. BEN Because you are. SCOTT Sht. You’re spoiling my moment. BEN I can see you becoming a real mountaineering bore. SCOTT I mean, look at that. BEN Top of the world, ma. SCOTT (sings loudly) I’m on the Top of the world I’m looking down on creation and the only explanation - BEN Okay, not so loud though. SCOTT Oh, no, right. BEN Plus that song gets a whole lot less relevant in a line or two. SCOTT Actually, Benjamin darling, I’ve got something to tell you.
