Congratulations on being selected a 2006 Connecticut Governor’s Scholar. As one of only thirty students in the State selected for this prestigious honor, you have already demonstrated outstanding academic talents. In order to recognize this award, a number of colleges and universities throughout Connecticut have collaborated to provide you an opportunity to further challenge your intellectual curiosity and special talents. These institutions invite you to participate in an educational enrichment experience at their schools.

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

♦ Educational programs vary from school to school. A brief description of the opportunity offered by each participating college or university follows its name. Further details are available by calling the contact person.

♦ Most programs have limited space. Enrollment will be made on a first-come-first-take basis. It is your responsibility to notify, in a timely manner, the contact people listed in this pamphlet if you are interested in participating. If your interest is in a summer program, notification must be made immediately. For fall and spring courses, notification should occur at least one month prior to the start of the first class meeting.

♦ The window of opportunity for participate in any program begins with the summer 2006 session and ends with the conclusion of registration for the spring session.

♦ Programs that offer courses for college credits require you to have the appropriate background for the course you select. A letter from your high school may be required.

♦ Except for books and supplies, programs listed are free to you as a Governor’s Scholar.
