[2] (Wildenstein, New York and Paris); [3] sold to Samuel H. Kress [1863-1955] on 30 October 1947 as Sano di Pietro; gift to El Paso Museum of Art in 1961, no. 1961.1.6. [1] Duveen Brothers Records, Box 374 (reel 229), Getty Research Institute. [2] Lent by Mr. and Mrs. Pratt to the 1939 New York World's Fair, which in the catalogue no. 350 lists Francis Kleinberger in the provenance. Although the painting was exhibited by Pratt at Kleinberger's in 1917 there is no evidence that it was handled by Kleinberger.
