Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the periods and reason specified below:-

Stage 1 & 3 Ring (09.45-15.20)

From Facksbridge Roundabout, Clonakilty to Ballinadroum Cross Roads, Timoleague (via Desert, Curraghgrane More, Curraghgrane Beg, Arundelmills, Ahidelake, South Ring, Councambeg, Maulmore, Rocksavage, Ballinglanna, Ardgehane, Trieneens, Ballymacwilliam East, Ballymacwilliam South, Maulmacredmond, Aghafore, Grange Beg, Grange More, and Barryshall).

Alternative Routes From Clonakilty to Timoleague, take the N71 north to Hospital Cross, turn right along R600 and continue to Timoleague. The reverse also applies.

Stage 2 & 4 Dunworley (10.25-16.00)

Stage 5 & 7 Shanaway (13.35-19.20)

Alternative Routes From Derrymeeleen, continue south on the R588, turn right on the L4034 towards Bealad, then right onto the R599. Continue North to Ballingurteen. The reverse also applies.

Stage 6 & 8 Sams Cross (14.10-19.50)

Roads subject of Closure L80041-0, L8004-0, L8003-24, L8007-0(Part), L8006-20, L8006, L4240-18(Part), L4240- 46(Part), L4002-0, L4002-20, L40025-0, L4003-0, L4003-19(Part), L8010-0, L8010-15 From Junction L80041-0 and L4638-28 off the R599 at Coolnaconarty to junction L8010-15 at the junction of the R599 at Clonakilty GAA sports grounds, Ahamilla (via Farlehanes, Coolnaconarty, Knocks, Bealad West, Derrybaun, Castleventry, Maulvirane, Foxhall, Freahanes, Cahermore, Froe, Caherbeg, Coolcraheen, Derryduff, Tullyneasky West, Woodfield, Garralacka, Ballyvackey)

Alternative Routes From the Curragh / N71, take the R599 north past Knocklady. The reverse also applies.

Stage 9 Clonakilty (16.40-20.20)

Roads subject of Closure R588(Part), L8055-22, L8054-0 From the R588 Fernhill Road at the Junction of the Western Road to the L8054-0 at the junction of the R599 at Clonakilty GAA sports ground, Ahamilla (via Tawnies Lower, Kilgarriff, Aghamilla)

Alternative Routes From the R588 Western Road, continue west along the N71 to the junction of the R599. The reverse also applies

Stage 10 & 13 Clogagh (10.35-17.20)

Alternative Routes Continue west along the R600 to the N71, turn right and continue north. The reverse also applies.

Stage 11 & 14 Ballinascarthy (11.00-17.55)

Roads subject of Closure L6032-15, L6032-0(Part), L6031-0, L6030-0(Part), L20151-0, L2015-23(Part), L2016-0(Part), L6025-0, L8072-29(Part), L8071-0(Part), L8067-26, L8067-0(Part), L8069-0(Part), L8070-0, L4033-15 From L6032-15 off the N71 at Pedlars Cross to L4033-15 at the junction of L8063-14 Crohane (via Knocknanuss, Lisnacunna, Garranelahan, Drombofinny, Boulteen, Knocknastooka, Maulbrack West, Maulbrack East, Boultenn, Kilrush, Breaghna, Aghyohil More, Kilnameela, Ballyvoige, Killeen, Lisbehegh, Maulrour, Crohane, Crohane West, Crohane East,)

Alternative Routes Continue along the N71 to Ballinascarty and take the L4031-37 towards Shannonvale. Turn right after the bridge in Shannonvale and take the L4032-0. At the junction of the R588 head north towards Knockskagh. The reverse also applies.

Stage 12 & 15 Ardfield (11.55-18.40)

Roads subject of Closure L8025-0, R598(Part), L4008-0, L4006-23(Part), L40064-0, L8034-0(Part), L4009-0(Part x2), L4009-26, L4011-0(Part), L4010-0(Part), L8063-0 From L8025-0 at the junction of R598 at Little Island Strand to L8040-0 at the junction of L4011-19 Clooncunnig Road, through Mountain Common (via Little Island, Castlefreke, Milltown, Kilkeran, Dunoure, Dundeady, Ganniv More, Dunowen, Ganniv Beg, Farran, Ballyva, Greenanes, Dunnycove, Ardfield, Mountain Common, Caher)

Alternative Routes For the north side of Castlefreke, take the take the Tulligee exit off the N71 for the R598-50. 4

For the south side of Castlefreke, continue along the R598 towards the Long Strand. The reverse also applies.

Rally Service Area – Darrara – Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th

Road subject of Closure L4016-0(Part) at Darrary

Period of Proposed Closure Saturday 16th March – 08.30am to 19.00pm Sunday 17th March – 09.30am to 16.30 pm

Alternative Routes Travelling South, from the R600 take the L4015-40 at Clashflugh Cross Roads and continue south along L-4015-27 to Ring Village. The reverse also applies.

In addition, it is proposed to close all adjoining public roads for a distance of 200 metres from the junctions with the roads listed above.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure L-4001-0 (Part), east of Reanascreena at the junction of L-40011-0, through Maulyregan Cross Roads, to junction of L-8005-0 west of Santry’s Cross Roads.

Period of Proposed Closure From 8:00hrs Monday 11th March 2019 to 18:00hrs Friday 19th April 2019 (24 Hour Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure To facilitate Rehabilitation of Water Mains and all associated assets.

Alternative Routes West Bound: From Maulvirance, turn back towards Santrys Cross Roads and continue on the L-4001-0, L-4001-31, and L-4003-19, until you reach the R599. Continue north towards Knocks. Turn left and continue south along the L-4639-0, L-4638-26, and L-4638-28, to Inchinattin Cross Roads. Continue along the L-4638-0 then turn left for L-4240-0 past Deasy’s Bridge into Reanascreena. East Bound: Reverse applies

CORK COUNTY COUNCIL ROADS ACT, 1993 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure L-2014-50, L-2014-23(Part), L-2017-0(Part), at Kilcolman 3 roads junction to the next road junction eastwards at Cappaknockane, Enniskeane.

Period of Proposed Closure From 7:00hrs Tuesday, 19th March 2019 to 17:00hrs Friday, 22nd March 2019 (24 Hour Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure To facilitate the Installation of a Cattle Underpass.

Alternative Routes Traffic travelling west from Gurteen Cross on the L-2014-75, towards the junction of L-2014-50 & L-20143-0, at Cappaknockane will be diverted southwards along the L-20143-0, then take a right onto the L-6033-0, then take a right onto L-2017-0 at Pike Cross Roads, follow the road north towards Kilcolman 3 roads junction, whereby rejoining the original intended route from the opposite side of the road closure. The stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure L13291-0 Kilconnor-Graig Cross Doneraile.

Period of Proposed Closure From 07:00hrs Tuesday 12th March 2019 to 17:00hrs Saturday 16th March 2019 (24 Hours Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure To facilitate the Installation of Cattle Underpass.

Alternative Routes Traffic wishing to travel L13291 from Doneraile along R522 are to continue along the R522 to the junction with N73 at Clogher. Take a left and proceed to take next left onto L1329 and proceed along this road until meet with junction of L13291.

Traffic wishing to travel L13291 from Ardpatrick Doneraile along L1329 are to continue along the L1329 to the junction with N73 and take a left to meet Clogher junction. Take a left and proceed along the R522 until meet with junction of L13291.

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure L-2998 East Cliff Road, Glanmire, Co Cork

Period of Proposed Closure From 8:00hrs Monday 11th March 2019 to 08:00hrs Friday 26th April 2019. (24 Hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure Installation of a 750mm storm water pipe from the Ballinglanna housing development site, connecting into the storm water outfall pipe at the Glashaboy river.

Alternative Routes Northbound diversion route – Head west immediately on the L-2999 over the Glanmire Bridge and turn right onto the R-639. Continue on this road and take the first right turn at Riverstown Cross onto the L-3010. Proceed along this road and take the first right onto the L-2998. Continue along this road which will lead you to the end of the temporary road closure.

Southbound diversion route – Head north along the L-2999 towards Riverstown village. Take the first left onto the L-3010. Continuing to Riverstown Cross and turn left onto the R-639. Continue and turn left onto the L-2999 over the Glanmire Bridge which leads you to the end of the temporary road closure.

Period of Proposed Closure From Tuesday 19th March 2019 to Friday 22nd March 2019 (24Hrs Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure To facilitate the Installation of a Cattle Underpass.

Alternative Routes Northbound traffic diversion route – Head west immediately on the L-6979. Turn right onto the L-6142 and this road will bring you to the end of the temporary road closure.

Eastbound traffic diversion route – Head south along the L-6142 and turn left onto the L-6979. Continuing along this road will bring you to the end of the temporary road closure.
