"I would like to say enough is enough," he said. "The last year tui- tion was not increased was 1979. Students here should not be forced to pay for another tuition increase and the Board should listen to the students of this campus." Robinson said he also believes the student government should be given authority to supervise the distribution of general fee money to campus organizations, by controlling the Advisory Committe for General Fee Allocation. "Giving USG control of ACGFA would serve as a strengthening agent for the student government and provide for a better accounta- bility of general fee dollars," he said. Robinson said the University will be allocating $619,000 towards the purchase of carpeting for Kohl Hall and Founders Quadrangle, "pursuant to approval of the Board of Trustees," at today's meeting. The allocation was a result of a petition drive led by USG Vice Presi- dent Jim Perry, he said. Robinson announced that Cleveland Mayor George Voinovich, a Republican Senator candidate, will speak on campus April 23, and said he hopes other political candidates will also appear at the Uni- versity. He added that USG will continue to strive to effectively reach out to its constituents, promote students to register to vote and hold mock elections for presidential candidates in the Democratic and Republican nominations.
