PAC-10 LEADER UCLA HEADS TO PACIFIC NORTHWEST No. 6/12 Bruins to face Washington, Oregon State this weekend.

THIS WEEK ̶ The No. 6 (Soccer America)/12 (NSCAA) ranked UCLA men's soccer team (6-2-0, 2-0-0 2005 UCLA SCHEDULE/RESULTS in the Pac-10) will travel to the Pacifi c Northwest to face Washington (6-2-0, 0-1-0) and Oregon State Date Opponent Time/Result (5-2-4, 1-0-0). T 1-1 pm at Husky Stadium before heading to Corvallis to take on the Beavers on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 pm. 9/2 vs. #13/21 Santa Clara* L 2-3 BRUINS IN NATIONAL RANKINGS ̶ UCLA moved up to No. 6 in the Soccer America rankings and 9/4 #4/2 MARYLAND W 4-0 rocketed up 11 spots to No. 12 in the NSCAA/adidas poll after a pair of 2-0 wins over then-No. 3 Cali- 9/11 at Loyola Marymount W 4-0 fornia and Stanford. The Bruins are ranked No. 5 in the Top Drawer Soccer and News 9/16 at Penn State† W 1-0 polls and No. 8 in the Soccer Times poll. 9/18 vs. Ohio State† L 1-2 UCLA IN NCAA STATISTICS ̶ The Bruins rank 12th nationally in team scoring off ense (2.38 average), 9/25 UNLV W 3-0 17th in team goals against average (0.63), fourth in shutout percentage (0.75) and tied for 19th in 9/30 #3 W 2-0 win-loss percentage (0.75). Individually, goalkeeper Eric Reed ranks fourth in goals against average 10/2 STANFORD W 2-0 (0.295) and second in shots on goals save percentage (0.923). Forward Kamani Hill is tied for ninth in 10/7 at Washington 7 pm assists per game (0.75). 10/9 at Oregon State 1 pm M.A.C. HERMANN TROPHY WATCH ̶ Junior midfi elder/defender and sophomore 10/14 at Cal State Northridge 3:30 pm defender Marvell Wynne have been named to the 2005 M.A.C. Hermann Trophy Watch List. The 10/16 SAN DIEGO STATE 1 pm Bruin duo were starters on the U.S. Under-20 National Team that advanced to the Round of 16 at the 10/20 UC SANTA BARBARA 7 pm 2005 World Youth Championships. Their defense helped the U.S. shut out all three of its opponents 10/28 OREGON STATE 7 pm in group play. Wynne also had an assist on the game-winning goal against Argentina. Both players were regular starters for UCLA in 2004 and played in all 20 games. Ianni, the 2004 Pac-10 Co-Player of 10/30 WASHINGTON 1 pm the Year, has a goal and an assist this season, while Wynne has a goal and three assists. Ianni assisted 11/4 at Stanford 7 pm Wynne on Wynne's game-winning goal against third-ranked Cal on Sept. 30. The goal was Wynne's 11/6 at California 2 pm fi rst of his career. Defensively, the two players were instrumental in UCLA's six shutouts this year (4-0 11/10 at San Diego 7 pm vs. Maryland and Loyola Marymount, 1-0 vs. Penn State, 3-0 vs. UNLV and 2-0 vs. Cal and Stanford) 11/13 at San Diego State 1 pm and helped limit a high-scoring Maryland team to zero shots on goal.
