Dear friends from around the world, When we look back at how the Humboldt-Institut has developed in the past several years, we are filled with a sense of gratitude and pride. Our new year-round school for adults in Berlin-Mitte has delighted us with huge increases in the numbers of bookings, and the feedback from our guests has been outstanding: they express appreciation and praise, especially for the outstanding location in the capital city, the high quality standards of the classes and accommo- dations and our dedicated team on site. We have also given our popular school in Konstanz a fresh new look: we have renovated the dining room and set up a new TV and party room. The boarding schools for children and teenagers in Lindenberg and Bad Schussenried are well attended throughout the year, and in the summer they are even completely sold out. As a result, we have expanded the circle of the places we offer summer courses for teen- agers by adding a very attractive venue: In Duesseldorf (p. 34) we will now offer an intensive course for 14- to 17-year-olds in July; the course can be booked for two or four weeks. Our ultramodern accommodations are located directly on the Rhine with a view of the old town, providing students top standards in one of Ger- many’s most attractive major cities. Duesseldorf is regarded as a cultural metropolis, and it is full of magnificent contrasts – everything from historical landmark houses and monuments to spectacular postmodern architecture such as the famous Gehry buildings in the media harbor. In the past several years, Duesseldorf has made a name for itself as a city with one of the highest quality-of-life rankings in . There is a wide variety of different ways to spend a wonderful summer there. By adding the Duesseldorf location, we are expanding our course catalog to include a total of four year-round schools and 12 summer schools. These courses are designed for a broad selection of target groups ranging from children to managers. In addition to our inten- sive courses, we also hold lessons in business German as well as pre- paratory courses for attending school in Germany as well as for the TestDaF for international students. Do we have the perfect course for you in our program this year as well? We would be pleased to welcome you to Humboldt-Institut in 2016!

Yours,

Norbert Güthling Lennart Güthling Content
