Tournament Storylines The Jutanugarns are back Sisters Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn of Bangkok, Thailand, return to the Phoenix area after a one-two finish at the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club in April. Moriya picked up the title after shooting 8-under-par 205.

Local talent Kyung Kim of Chandler, Zachary Wright of Phoenix and Lindsey Weaver of Scottsdale will compete in their backyard amongst the best juniors in the world. All have captured AJGA titles in their home state but none have won the Thunderbird International Junior.

Two-time champ looks for three-peat Yueer Cindy Feng of Orlando, Fla., knows what it takes to win against one of the toughest fields on the AJGA circuit. Feng has prevailed in two playoffs to claim back-to-back titles at Grayhawk Golf Club. In 2009, she bested Sarah Brown of Phillipsburg, N.J., in two extra holes. In last year’s contest, it took Feng four additional holes to secure the victory over Laetitia Beck of , . 2

Top Players to Watch Kristen Park, Buena Park, Calif. (2011) Park is the top-ranked female in the Polo Golf Rankings and the reigning Rolex Junior Player of the Year. The University of Southern California commit won the 2010 PING Invitational and Rolex Tournament of Champions.

Yueer Cindy Feng, Orlando, Fla. (2014) Ranked No. 2 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Feng is the returning two-time champion. In 2010, she became the only player in Thunderbird International Junior history to defend her title. Feng has compiled 10 AJGA victories in her career.

Kyung Kim, Chandler, Ariz. (2012) Ranked No. 3 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Kim has had success close to home, winning the 2010 PING Phoenix Junior and the 2008 Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club. Kim is a three-time Rolex Junior All-American and has finished inside the top 20 in her last two Thunderbird International Junior appearances.

Céline Boutier, Montrouge, France (2012) Boutier has fared well in AJGA Invitational events. She advanced to the quarterfinals at the 2010 Polo Golf Junior Classic and in February, captured the ANNIKA Invitational title.

Shun Yat Hak, Lake Mary, Fla. (2012) A two-time Rolex Junior All-American, Hak is fresh off a win at the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior at Innisbrook hosted by Sean O’Hair. He is the highest-ranked boy in the field at No. 5.

Jim Liu, Smithtown, N.Y. (2013) Liu is two time Rolex Junior All-American and is currently ranked No. 7 in the Polo Golf Rankings. Liu became the youngest player to win the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2010.

Gavin Hall, Pittsford, N.Y. (2013) Hall finished third in last year’s contest and will return in hopes of capturing his first AJGA title. The two-time Rolex Junior All-American has compiled 10 top-10 junior golf finishes in his career and is ranked tenth in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Zachary Wright, Phoenix, Ariz. (2012) Wright recently won the Winn Grips Heather Farr Classic hosted by Longbow Golf Club, propelling him to No. 13 in the Polo Golf Rankings. He has finished in the top 10 in two career AJGA Invitational appearances (T7, HP Boys Championship at Carlton Woods & 9th, The PING Invitational).

Media Accommodations The AJGA is prepared to make covering the Thunderbird International Junior an enjoyable experience. Whether it be on-site professional communications staff or timely results, the AJGA is ready to honor all media requests. At the event, the AJGA will provide:

Information about the tournament and its participants leading up to the event Assistance with player interviews before, during and after the tournament A golf cart to make covering the tournament as easy as possible Assistance locating players on the course A recap with results after each tournament round in a timely manner

During the week of the tournament, the AJGA will have three communications representatives on hand to assist the media. These media officials will write an AP Style recap and produce agate results each tournament day. These will then be faxed and/or e-mailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors can be conducted before or after every round.

The AJGA website, ajga.org, is a tremendous media resource. The tournament website, which is linked from the AJGA homepage, includes recaps, results, list of participants, tee times, live scoring, scorecards and sponsor information.

About the AJGA The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 5,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 40 countries.
