BY ZUVANNY MACIAS Staff Writer How to: Getting over the winter break funk Winter break has finally melted away and that means now it’s time to start the 2020 spring semester. Here are some tips on how to get over the back- to-school funk. Stay focused: Heading back into the new school semester, it’s important to take note of distractions that waste time and take attention away from schoolwork. A suggestion from Purdue University Global: “No matter what is wasting your time, set a goal to not engage in that behavior during dedicated study time. Instead, use those activities as a reward for staying focused and accomplishing the tasks you set out to complete.” Create a to-do list: Creating a to-do list can help identify what you need to do during the day. SPORTSSPORTSSPORTS 1210 10 Tuesday, January 21, 2020 Broncos fall short on the road 69-61. The Broncos have worked hard and are now 2-4 against ranked teams. Ricketson gives a lot of credit to her team for stepping up and getting the win. She feels that each teammate is doing her part and scoring when the team needs it. “Mylah hit me some huge threes against San Diego and that was super exciting to see her come back better than before,” Ricketson said. “Obviously we can’t do it on our own, so when everyone does their part it makes a huge difference in our game.” Head Coach Danelle Bishop knows her team is full of winners and will try its best every game to get a win.
