It all began with a motorcycle accident more than 30 years ago. In the aftermath of the accident, the soon-to-be Dr. Chris Hoelscher was left suffering from severe pain that was not relieved by ordinary medical procedures and medications. Looking back, Chris views the accident as a blessing in disguise, as he switched his focus in medical school to chiropracty, so that he could help improve the lifestyle of those who live with chronic pain.

Dr. Ch ris Hoelscher Now, Eastland Chiropractic is celebrating its 20th anniversary and offers practices in Bloomington, Pontiac, Morton and Morris. The majority of symptoms Eastland Chiropractic treats are headaches, neck pain and back pain, but they've even had success treating people with severe asthma. "The spine is the body's information superhighway, and when a problem develops on that path, problems can occur anywhere," Hoelscher says.

Dr. Hoelscher loves GLT because of the great music and the unique asset it provides to the community. He and his wife Deb love the blues and Frank Black. Chris also rarely misses an episode of Car Talk. One of the Hoelschers' fondest memories of GLT was at last summer's Nothin' But The Blues Festival, where Skeeter Brandon sang Frank Black a personal rendition of Happy Birthday.
