The Pete Maravich Center - Under New Management 54-Game Regular Season Non-Conference WIn Streak Still There Mike Greenfield’s RPI -- On July 1, 2004, the management of the Maravich Center came under the direction of the LSU Athletics Department as the building's control was transferred from the University. The building, ESPN RPI -- preparing to host its 34th season of men's basketball, is now under going a multi-year refurbishing to continue it as one of the great basketball venues in the South. It's a renovation that began two years ago with new television lights that can be turned on and off to allow more freedom with player introductions and special ceremonies. It continued last season with a brand new roof surface that will serve for many years in the future. Also the outside concourse windows of the building now feature the Tiger mascot running around the building that can be seen for miles as people enter the city on the Mississippi River Bridge.

LSU MEN’S BASKETBALL COMPARING THE STATISTICS This year, basketball fans will see a completely redesigned concourse with video and graph- ic displays, renovated concession stands and video kiosks showcasing the best of the sports that Overall Statistics LSU play in the building - men's and women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics. Former LSU Coach Has New Book Out Former LSU men’s basketball coach Dale Brown has a new book out and he will be signing it for the first time Friday from 4-6 p.m. at the LSU bookstore in the LSU Union Building. He will also be signing the book, “Dale Brown’s Memoirs from LSU Basketball” on December 5 at 3 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble on Citiplace Court and Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at the B. Dalton Bookseller in the Mall of Louisiana. The coach is expected to appear in the new Fan Zone on the upper concourse later in the season to sign his new book.
