At 7:25 p.m., President Mark D. Leidich called to order a special meeting of the Board of School Directors of the Conrad Weiser Area School District, followed by the pledge to the flag of the United States of America.

RLR RESOLVED, that on the recommendation of the Administration, the Transfer – HS Food Service Board of School Directors of the Conrad Weiser Area School District Worker ratify and approve the transfer of Patsy Witman, Middle School Food Service Worker, from a 4 hour PT Food Service Worker to a PT 4.5 hour Food Service Worker at the Middle School, effective October 2, 2017.

Note: This is a replacement for Terri Swisher (resigned).

1. RGG Discussion: Early Dismissals for Department Meetings

2. RRG approves the Ski Club members, under the direction of John Rohm and Zachary Musser to attend a skiing trip at OKEMO, Vermont on Thursday, January 18 through Sunday, January 21, 2018.

Note: The cost to the district will be none; student funded. The trip will leave on Thursday, January 18, after final exams; teachers will only miss their in-service time.

3 RRG Approves the Social Studies Department, under the direction of Kenny Bright and John Rohm to take approximately 100 students on a Washington, DC Trip, May 18, 2018

Note: There is no cost to the district; students will pay for all costs.

4. RKB Requests permission to conduct the bi-annual survey of school students in the 6th and 8th grade students to learn about their behavior, attitudes and knowledge concerning alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and violence. The ‘Pennsylvania Youth Survey,’ or PAYS, is sponsored and conducted every two years by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
