‘Late Night Jam’ Added to Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass Festival

Sevierville, Tenn. – [April 14, 2014] – The distinctive sounds of , fiddles, and dobros will bring the old Sevier County Bank building to life in a new and exciting way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass. The bank’s vault will be rockin’ well into the night and early morning hours as four-time national champion, Gary “Biscuit” Davis hosts ‘Late Night Jam,’ an open jam session that will take place on Friday, May 16 from 10 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.

“We’re adding five more hours of bluegrass and asking festival attendees to join in on the jam session – there’s no better way to celebrate our 10th anniversary,” says Amanda Maples Marr, Marketing Director, Sevierville Chamber of Commerce. “Gary is a fabulous musician and entertainer and all of the musicians that come out to ‘jam’ will be in for a real treat!”

A staple of East Tennessee, Gary recently was band leader, co-producer and banjo player for on her bluegrass "Halos & Horns." He performed for fifteen years at Dollywood and currently works at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede dinner attraction in Pigeon Forge. He is the only four-time national banjo champion, winning the award in four different decades.

Musicians from all over are encouraged to bring their instruments and jam with Gary and others to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass.

Sevierville’s 10th Annual Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass will take place May 16 & 17, and will feature barbeque cook teams from across the as they compete for the title of Tennessee State Champion in the Bush’s Best TN State Championship Cook-Off. The two-days will be filled with toe-tapping , incredible arts and crafts, kids’ games and the Mountain Soul Vocal Competition that honors Sevierville’s favorite hometown girl, Dolly Parton.
