Visit of Incheon, South Korean Asian Games 2014,Bronze Medalist in Shot Put Ref. No. DPS (N)/N-07/ Dated: The Chairman Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi Sub: Report regarding activities/programmes/functions held during the month of November 2014 Dear Sir, The following were the main activities/programmes/functions held in our school during the month of November 2014 [01-11-14] Foundation Day of Coal India Ltd. On the occasion of Foundation Day of Coal India Ltd, Northern Coalfields Ltd, Nigahi Project organized a Harmony Race for all the three schools of the project,i.e.D.P.S.,D.A.V and Vivekanand Vidyalaya. The race was organized for both boys and girls. Our school children participated in the same. [03.11.14] Visit of Incheon, South Korean Asian Games 2014,Bronze Medalist in Shot Put It was a memorable day for the school when our ex-student Inderjeet Singh [2006-2007 batch], XVII South Korean Asian Games Bronze Medalist in Shot Put, visited the school and was a part of the morning assembly. On addressing the students, he shared his experience with them and encouraged them to pursue their goal with sincerety, hardwork and dedication. Outside Competitions [11.11.14] Inter DPS Science & Maths Talent Examination 95 students of the school appeared in the competition conducted by Delhi Public School Society. [29.11.2014] National Science Olympiad 142 students appeared in the 17th National Science Olympiad organized by Science Olympiad Foundation, Gurgaon, Haryana. [18.11.14] Silver Zone Kids GK Olympiad 22 students from classes II to X participated in the competition conducted by Silverzone Foundation, New Delhi. [23-11-14] National Standard Examination 66 students from classes IX to XII participated in the National Standard Examination conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers, Pune. 19 students participated in the NSEP 26 students participated in the NSEC 05 students participated in the NSEB 06 students participated in NSEA 10 students partiicpated in NSEJS [28.11.14] Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad 19 students participated from classes II to XII participated in the competition conducted by Silverzone Foundation. [28.11.14] Chemistry Symposium - Spark 2014 The following students participated in the Chemistry Symposium- Spark 2014 conducted at DPS R.K.Puram on 28.11.14. She is now qualified to appear in RMO/GMO conducted by CBSE. [12.11.14 to 15.11.14] NCL Inter Project school Athletic Championship The team from Nigahi secured 117 points and lifted the Championship. 9 students of the school participated in various events: The finals of the Competition was conducted by NCL at Nigahi ground.
