DEATH OF AN OLD INHABITANT

An old well-known face will be missed from our midst –that of Robert REED, of Allswell Cottage, Belvedere-street. The deceased, who was in his 81st year, was for 13 years coachman to the late Dr. BLOXAM, and on his death in January, 1868, became coachman to Dr. DAVEY, with whom he remained till the day of his death, which occurred on Friday last, the 11th inst., after only a few hours illness. The funeral took place on Wednesday, and, besides deceased’s family, was attended by Dr. DAVEY, Mr. G. L. and Mr. C. F. DAVEY, and Mrs. BANKS. Mrs. Lionel HORDEM and Mr. Alick DAVEY sent a wreath in their unavoidable absence.
