  • THE ALL-IN-ONE AUDIOBOOK Combining an Easy-To-Use Player with an Entire Audiobook
ONCE IN A LIFETIME, A WRITER PUTS IT ALL TOGETHER. THIS IS JAMES PATTERSON’S BEST BOOK EVER. For thirty-six years, James Patterson has written unputdownable, pulse-racing novels. Now, he has written a book that surpasses all of them. Zoo is the thriller he was born to write. All over the world, brutal attacks by animals are crippling entire cities. Jackson Oz, a young biologist, watches the escalating events with an increasing sense of dread. When he witnesses a coordinated lion ambush in Africa, the enormity of the violence ahead becomes terrifyingly clear. With the help of ecologist Chloe Tousignant, Oz races to warn world leaders before it’s too late. The attacks are growing in ferocity, cunning, and planning, and soon there will be no place left for humans to hide. With wildly inventive imagination and white-knuckle suspense that rival Stephen King at his very best, James Patterson’s Zoo is an epic, nonstop thrill ride from “one of the best of the best” (Time). JAMES PATTERSON has created more enduring fictional characters than any other novelist writing today. He has also had more New York Times bestsellers than any other writer, ever, according to Guinness World Records. Since his first novel won the Edgar Award in 1977, James Patterson’s books have sold more than 260 million copies. James Patterson has also written numerous number one bestsellers for young readers, including the Maximum Ride, Witch & Wizard, and Middle School series. In total, these books have spent more than 220 weeks on national bestseller lists. In 2010, James Patterson was named Author of the Year at the Children’s Choice Book Awards.

A Well Written Story Read By A Smooth, Talented VoiceBy KateIf ever you wanted Matt Bomer to read you a bedtime story, here's your chance! Personally, I listened to it driving back and forth to work over a few days, and his warm voice surrounding me on my car speakers was very enjoyable indeed. He has a pleasing voice, good cadence, and does a great job conveying the varying emotions and making his voice sound different for the different characters. The story is interesting and moves along at a good pace. The author paints a plausible picture of a possible future where humans have been usurped as rulers of the planet because we almost destroyed it. There are a couple of interesting plot twists, plenty of action, and the hero is a bit of a thinking man, which is always a plus.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. COCKTAILS, CRIMINALS AND COVER STORIES: Cindy Thomas as a 21st Century Female Journalist in the “Women’s Murder Club” Series By Hayley Fox 4/05/11 Image of the Journalist in Popular Culture ABSTRACT In James Patterson’s mystery series titled The Women’s Murder Club, Patterson features four female protagonists who are all successful, powerful, career-driven women working in male-dominated professions. One of these women, Cindy Thomas, is a young, blonde, up-and-coming journalist who works the crime desk at the San Francisco Chronicle. Cindy is unmarried, fearless, and a pioneer in many ways when it comes to being a female reporter. Throughout the nine novels, Cindy challenges many stereotypes of women journalists while embracing many others. Overall, Cindy encapsulates a progressive, modern version of the image of the female journalist in popular culture. Fox, 1 AN INTRODUCTION Women’s Murder Club is a series of nine books written by novelist James Patterson. The author specializes in mysteries and thrillers, and in the last three years has sold more books than any other author.1 In total, Patterson has sold approximately 220 million books worldwide.2 This prominence indicates that Patterson’s writing has had a measurable impact and influence on contemporary readers, making his depiction of journalists valuable to the current image of the journalist in popular culture. Patterson’s book series, Women’s Murder Club includes nine novels and a tenth scheduled for release in May 2011. Patterson began publishing the series in 2001, and by 2007 the Women’s Murder Club had been turned into a television series that ran for one season on ABC.
