Hulk hogan was famous during the late 70s, 80s and early 90s. However recently he fell flat on his face. He admitted to using some racist words towards his daughters boyfriend. And he had his sex tape leaked which he later sued the person that leaked it and won 64 million dollars. John Cena is another very famous wrestle, but he still wrestles today and he has wrestled since the year 2000. Shawn Michaels is known as the best wrestler to ever have wrestled a match. He had long career wrestling actively since 1984 and retired at Wrestlemania 2010. Shawn has had a very mixed career with some bad moments, but his amazing matches makes up for his mistakes. The most one of his most famous missteps has to be when he posed for Playgirl. The pay-per-views Every months there's at least one pay-per-view a month. The pay-per-views are special shows where the champions put their title on the line, and wrestle the number one contender. The pay-per- views usually have a special theme or gimmick. Some are based on using Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker, picture http://www.independent.co.uk tables ladders and chairs others are cage fights or elimination matches, maybe even multi man matches. But the one that's the rarest of all is the Three stages of hell match. In the the Three stages of hell is a type of match where it's best of three, so the first to win 2 matches is declared the winner. Now this wouldn't be to bad if it wasn't consecutive matches with different stipulations in every match. But there's 4 pay-per-views that stands out in the crowd. The big four, Summer Slam, Survivor series, The Royal rumble and the one that's biggest of all... WRESTLEMANIA. Wrestlemania is the biggest pay-per-view of the year, and is wrestlings version of the Super Bowl. This year is Wrestlemania number 33 and is in Orlando Florida on the second of April. US ARMED FORCES By Kasper Vaaga and Magnus Eriksen The US Armed Forces consists of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and the Coast Guard. The President of United States is the overall leader, but he has a council that will help him and give advise that council is DoD.(Department of Defence) The President is the one with all the power. The people working under the president can decide certain things, but big ac- tions like war is up the presi- dent. Budget The US Army has a budget of 664 billion dollars. Every year they use about 580 billion dol- lars. That is almost triple the amount of EU mili- tary budget. In NOK it is 554 910 244 800 kr. If NASA had the same budget theoretically we could be on Mars. They get 136 billion dollars... In 13 years. That's about 10 billion a year. In WW2 they used over 1,000 billion dollars. And in WW1 they used less than 200 billion dollars, that is less than there budget now. Russia has the second most powerful military and has a budget of about 47 billion dollars. Weapons and soldiers There are 1 400 000 active frontline personal and 1 100 000 backup. About 210 000 of them are females. From 1776 to September 2012 about 40 million people served in the army. They also have 6,800 nuclear warheads. And they have about 800 military bases in foreign countries. Five-Star Ranking A five star ranking is a very normal military ranking that The United States started using in 1944. In USA there are ten officers that have all of the five stars. Four held by Fleet admi- rals, five held by the generals of the army and one held by the general of the Air Force. Fleet admiral is a five-star Admiral officer rank in the United States Navy. Fleet admiral ranks immediately above admiral (Admiral is a four star raking) and is equivalent to General of the Army and General of the Air Force. The picture is of the fleet admiral's shoulder board, and sleeve stripes. The general of the army is a five-star general officer rank in the United States Army. A General of the Army ranks immediately above a general (General is a four star ranking) and is equivalent to a fleet admiral and a General of the Air Force. The picture is of the army service uniform shoulder board with the rank. The general of the Air Force is a five-star general officer rank and is the highest possible rank in the United States Air Force. The General of the Air Force ranks immediately above a general (general is a four star ranking) and is equivalent to General of the Army in the United States Army and Fleet Admiral in the United States Navy. It's located in the United states, and is a very popular tourist attraction. The canyon has been there for around six million years, and is located in Arizona in the U.S. Landscape The landscape in and around The Grand Canyon is very desert like, and is also filled with rocks and cliffs. The Grand Canyon itself is a huge solid rock, with a canyon going trough the middle. At the bottom of the canyon, lies the famous river Colorado river. The Colorado river is also a popular tourist attraction, and you can go rafting in it. The peak of Grand Canyon lies 2100 meters above sea level, and the view is fantastic. Activities As mentioned above, you can go rafting in the Colorado riv- er, but there are also a lot of other activities. You can go skydiving, hiking, running, and you can even get a helicopter tour of the canyon, but that tour is obviously pricy. A very cool, but less known activity at the Grand Canyon, is bungee Experience the many activities and have a grand day. jumping. A bridge has been built there just for the bungee jumping activity, and the way down to the ground is crazy. With the amazing view, all the activities and the unique landscape, it’s no wonder the Grand Canyon is such a big tourist at- traction. Tourism Being able to keep all the activities men- tioned above going requires money. Without the insane number of tourists who visit the Grand Canyon every year, there wouldn’t be any activities or places to stay at the canyon. Every year, around 40 000 people sleep in tents overnight during the season, and the owners of the camp sites haul in tons and tons of money to keep it going. One of the most visited places in the canyon is the Skywalk. It’s a glass bottom “balcony” that sticks out from the front of the Hualapai Tribe’s mini hotel. The Canyon has a varied wildlife that is a sight to behold. Wildlife As the rest of the area surrounding the Grand Canyon, the canyon itself is also rich with wildlife, but sadly not as rich as it was before we humans came and started building there.

Honey, Master of Science Utah State University, 2020 Major Professor: Dr. Eric César Morales Program: American Studies This paper examines the shifting portrayals of Pacific Islanders in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) across three generations. As both a popular and historically racially problematic venue, WWE’s politically incorrect programming has played an underappreciated and under examined role in representing the USA. Although 4 many different groups have been portrayed by gross stereotypes in WWE, this paper uses the family of Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson—the Samoan Dynasty—as a case study. The WWE originally presented Pacific Islanders using the most offensive stereotypes, and the first two generations of the Samoan Dynasty had to “play Indian” or cosign onto gross representations of their people to be recognized by American audiences unfamiliar with representations of Pacific Islanders.

3 Arcano 3 - LA MADRE CELESTE La Emperatriz. El Alma se Cristifica mediante el Arcano A.Z.F. Arcano 4 - LA CRUZ DE LA INICIACIÓN La Cruz también revela la "cuadratura del círculo".

  • Narrative Pleasure and Uncertainty Due to Chance in Survivor
Mary Beth Haralovich Michael Trosset Department of Media Arts Department of Mathematics University of Arizona College of William and Mary 520 621-7800 757 221-2040 [email protected] [email protected] “Expect the Unexpected”: Narrative Pleasure and Uncertainty Due to Chance in Survivor In the wrap episode of Survivor’s fifth season (Survivor 5: Thailand), host Jeff Probst expressed wonder at the unpredictability of Survivor. Five people each managed to get through the game to be the sole survivor and win the million dollars, yet each winner was different from the others, in personality, in background, and in game strategy. Probst takes evident pleasure in the fact that even he cannot predict the outcomes of Survivor, as close to the action as he is. Probst advised viewers interested in improving their Survivor skills to become acquainted with mathematician John Nash’s theory of games. Probst’s evocation on national television of Nash’s game theory invites both fans and critics to apply mathematics to playing and analyzing Survivor.1 While a game-theoretic analysis of Survivor is the subject for another essay, this essay explores our understanding of narrative pleasure of Survivor through mathematical modes of inquiry. Such exploration assumes that there is something about Survivor that lends itself to mathematical analysis. That is the element of genuine, unscripted chance. It is the presence of chance and its almost irresistible invitation to try to predict outcomes that distinguishes the Survivor reality game hybrid. In The Pleasure of the Text, Roland Barthes explored how narrative whets our desire to know what happens next.2 In Survivor’s reality game, the pleasure of “what happens next” is not based on the cleverness of scriptwriters or the narrowly evident skills of the players.

On 2/28, Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey were the two co-headliners on a show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The idea was that Holm, a former world boxing champion, would impressively knock out Raquel Pennington, a .500 level fighter who was known for exchanging blows and not taking her down. Rousey was there to face Cat Zingano, a fight that was supposed to be the hardest one of her career. Holm looked unimpressive, barely squeaking by in a split decision. Rousey beat Zingano with an armbar in 14 seconds.

  • Winner Richard Hatch Is Sentenced to 51 Months in Prison for Tax Evasion
News Release U.S. Department of Justice United States Attorney District of Rhode Island May 16, 2006 “Survivor” winner Richard Hatch is sentenced to 51 months in prison for tax evasion A federal judge today sentenced Richard Hatch, of Newport, to 51 months in prison for evading income taxes. In January, a jury found him guilty of tax evasion and filing a false return for not reporting to the IRS about $1,428,000 that he earned from the “Survivor” television series and other sources. United States Attorney Robert Clark Corrente and Eileen J. O’Connor, Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice Tax Division, jointly announced the sentence, which Chief U.S. District Court Judge Ernest C. Torres imposed today in U.S. District Court. Judge Torres enhanced Hatch’s sentence for obstruction of justice. The government asked for that enhancement, arguing that Hatch perjured himself during the trial and failed to disclose assets to the Probation Office. Judge Torres also ordered Hatch to pay taxes that he owes for 2000 and 2001, which the IRS has calculated at $474,971, plus interest and penalties. “In addition to punishing this defendant, this sentence should serve as a warning to others who might think of dodging their tax obligations,” U.S. Attorney Corrente said. “Paying taxes is an ordeal but it is every citizen’s obligation to pay them honestly and fully.” “Our nation’s federal tax system is not a reality show to be outwitted, it is a reality, period," said Eileen J. O'Connor, Assistant Attorney General of the Justice Department's Tax Division.
