Multiplication in Sharing The readings this Sunday invite us to multiply God’s love through the virtue of sharing. Let us learn from Elisha in the first reading from 2Kgs 4:42-44 who was willing to share his food with the people in spite of the objection from his assistant. Similarly, in Jn 6: 1-15 feeds over five thousand men, women and children with five barley loaves and two fish provided by the young boy from the crowd. Each time we share comforting words, thoughts, and actions with family members, neighbors, co-workers, parishioners, community out-reach etc., we multiply the love of God in our hearts and fellow brothers and sisters. Parish Festival: September 18, 19, & 20. The festival committee chaired by Dennis Karczynski is preparing very well for another celebration of faith, family and friends. At the meeting of July 15, 2015 we had close to fifty (50) volunteers show up. We thank these women and men for their dedication to our parish community. Let us support them by picking up your Raffle tickets in the Resurrection Room so that we can save some cost on mailing. St. School We extend a big ‘Thank you’ to some of our school parents and parishioners who are working round the clock to keep the school in top shape for the up- coming inspection in August 2015. We appeal for more volunteers to join in this great school project. There will be painting in the school on the following days and times: Wednesdays: 9am to Noon and Saturdays: 9am to Noon. We are grateful to Sherwin-Williams Company for donating 8-10 gallons of paint to support our efforts. The school merger committee will meet this Thursday, July 23 @7pm at St. Bellermine for a day of prayer for spiritual guidance and direction to make the right choices as we proceed towards providing and supporting an enduring Catholic school for our parish communities. Cliff Erickson: Singing at 11am Mass on August 2, 2015 A great family friend from Port Huron, MI considered one of the finest acoustic performers throughout the Midwest and southwestern Ontario will sing and pray with our parish community. You are invited to be part of this transforming spiritual experience. You can read more about Cliff @clifferickson.com.
