FOR LIFE

“Yoga is a light, which once lit will never dim. The better you practice, the better your flame.” - B.K.S. Iyengar.

Yoga is a word that denotes UNION. Yoga is a union of mind, body and soul. This practice was originated in ancient India around 3000BC in pre-Vedic Indian times. There are four types of yoga. 1. 2. Kriya Yoga 3. 4. Nowadays, Yoga has been modernized and is often called which includes only and postures. But Yoga is really a way to connect with reality. Yoga is being practiced all around the world. Yoga is also recommended for certain therapies and has a proven success record for mental and physical problems.

Personally, I used to think that Yoga was meditation alone. I do High-Intensity Interval Training, Cardio and Strengthening workouts. I always thought Yoga is set at a very slow pace so I hesitated to try it out. But once I indulged myself in modernized Yoga, I really found a difference. Now I at least do Yoga twice a week (recovery days) doing asanas and postures which promise longevity and recovery from the intense training sessions. Proper breathing has helped me to strengthen my body.

I even inculcated meditation in my life. Visualization and mindfulness meditation has helped me to calm, relieve and destress. I can even say that I had reinvented myself.

All I am saying is, never hesitate to try anything. Practice Yoga for a better and peaceful life. I can assure you that it will bring out the best in you.
