BIOGRAPHIES:

Percussionist and educator Justin Hines, a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, enjoys playing a wide diversity of musical styles, including classical, Broadway, rock, jazz, and contemporary music. As a percussionist, he has performed with the , the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Chamber Music Society of Detroit.

He has also toured with the Jerusalem , The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, and new music ensemble . As a Broadway musician, Justin has played on many Tony Award winning shows, including Caroline, or Change, Disney’s TARZAN, In the Heights and Pippin. As an educator, he has collaborated with the Saint Louis Symphony, the New World Symphony, the 92nd Street Y, the Lincoln Center Institute, Carnegie Hall, the Caramoor Center for the Arts, Midori and Friends, the New York City Opera, and the . Currently Justin is a composition mentor for the New York Philharmonic’s Very Young Composers program, and is the host of the Young People’s Concerts. He is on the teaching faculty of New York University, and an education consultant for the New World Symphony.

Cellist Wendy Law has performed with such prestigious orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, Russian Philharmonic, Boston Symphony and Singapore Symphony. She has been featured in New York City’s Bargemusic and the distinguished Caramoor and Marlboro festivals. A regular touring artist, Law has performed across Asia, the Americas and Europe. Her performances have been broadcast on TV and radio in the US, Japan and her native Hong Kong. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of chamber ensemble Classical Jam. Wendy Law holds a Master of Music and Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School and a Bachelor of Music with Distinction from the New England Conservatory. Will Healy is a composer and pianist based in New York. Noted for his "lushly bluesy" sound and "adroitly blended... textures" (New York Times), he is the artistic director of ShoutHouse, a collective of hip-hop, jazz, and classical musicians. After his time playing trumpet in an Afrobeat band, he grew interested in collaborating with performers from many corners of the New York music scene. He is also an accomplished pianist specializing in Bach, with a repertoire that includes the complete Goldberg Variations. Recent awards include a Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, two ASCAP Morton Gould Awards, a 2017 JFund commission, and prizes in the Juilliard and Kaleidoscope Orchestra Composition Competitions. Healy was the recipient of the Richard Rodgers Scholarship at The Juilliard School, where he studied with , Steven Stucky, and Samuel Adler.

Pianist Matthew Graybil will present a program that features both the lighthearted and the profound sides of a composer's nature. Selected works by Bellini/Liszt, Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, and Schubert will reveal the interplay between these different aspects of each artist’s humanity.
