Großer Entdeckerfluchtplan Lindos GROßER ENTDECKERFLUCHTPLAN ROUTENVERLAUF WO GEHTS HIN? • Lindos • Prasonisi • Monolithos • Kritinia • Kamiros • 7 Quellen • Lindos 198 km 4:08 Fahrtzeit Hier klicken LINDOS 30 Min PRASONISI Du fährst einfach entlang der Küste in Richtung Süden. Wenn Du direkt von Lindos kommst, musst Du im Ort Lardos einmal links abbiegen um weiter auf der Küstenstraße zu bleiben. Nach ca. 30 Min Fahrt, kommt die Abzweigung zu Prasonisi und somit dem südlichsten Punkt der Insel, auf der linken Seite der Straße. PRASONISI 1 Stunde Angeberwissen Vor dem südlichsten Ende von Rhodos, liegt die Halbinsel Prasonisi. In den Sommermonaten ist der Wasserstand etwas niedriger was dazu führt, dass ein langer Sandstrand eine „Brücke“ zwischen beiden Inseln bildet. Des Weiteren teilt dieser Strand die beiden Meere. Links das Mittelmeer zum baden und rechts die Ägäis zum surfen. PRASONISI 30 Min MONOLITHOS Es geht wieder zurück zur Hauptstraße. Dort angekommen fährst Du jetzt weiter nach links um auf der Westküste wieder in Richtung Rhodos zu fahren. Nach ca. 30 Min siehst Du die Burg von Monolithos (Monolithos Castle) angeschrieben. MONOLITHOS 30 Minuten Eintritt frei Angeberwissen Die Burgfestung von Monolithos, liegt auf einem kleinen Felsvorsprung direkt am Hang. Hinter der Burg geht es fast senkrecht abfallend 200m in das Ägäische Meer. Die südlichste Johanniterburg von Rhodos aus dem Jahre 1476, ist eine der beliebtesten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Westküste. Stehst Du oben auf der Burg, kannst Du fast die komplette Küstenseite, rechts und links neben Dir bestaunen. Monolithos ist auch einer der schönsten Orte für den Sonnenuntergang. MONOLITHOS 20 Min KRITINIA Weiter an der Küstenstraße in Richtung Norden. Die Straße führt nun etwas weiter in Richtung Landesinnere und liefert Dir zwischendurch immer wieder atemberaubende Aussichten aufs Meer. Nach ca. 20 Minuten Fahrt ist das Kritinia Castle nach dem Ort Kritinia auf der linken Seite angeschrieben. Es ist dann auch von der Küstenstraße bereits zu sehen. KRITINIA 20 Minuten Eintritt frei Angeberwissen Kritinia wurde einst von den Einwanderern Kretas benannt. Kreta wird auf griechisch „Kriti“ ausgesprochen. Die Burg wurde im 16. Jahrhundert erbaut und war perfekt zur Verteidigung geeignet da man von oben 360 Grad rundherum sehen kann. Was bis Heute blieb sind die Ruinen und der einzigartige Ausblick auf das Ägäische Meer. KRITINIA 15 Min KAMIROS Es geht weiter auf der Küstenstraße Richtung Norden. Nach ca. 15 Min siehst Du ein Schild zur „Ancient Kamiros“ auf der rechten Seite. KAMIROS 45 Minuten 6€ Eintritt Angeberwissen Auch genannt „das Pompei von Rhodos. Einst eine der drei antiken Städte der Insel (Neben Ialisos und Lindos). Man geht davon aus dass die Stadt von einem Erdbeben zerstört wurde. Heute kann man noch die Ruinen des einstigen Handelszentrum bestaunen. KAMIROS 30 Min 7 QUELLEN Es geht wieder zurück auf der gleichen Straße Richtung Norden. Zwischen den Ortschaften Fanes und Soroni, geht eine Straße rechts weg in Richtung Inselmitte. Über die Ortschaften Dimilia, Eleousa und Archipoli siehst Du die 7 Quellen auf der rechts der Straße kurz bevor Du wieder an der Ostküstenstraße rauskommst. 7 QUELLEN 45 Minuten Eintritt frei Angeberwissen Die sieben Quellen liegen in einem schönen Waldgebiet. Neben einem kleinen Restaurant entspringen dort 7 Quellen aus dem Boden die in einem kleinen Bachlauf zusammen laufen. Man sagt, wer von allen sieben Quellen trinkt, lebt sieben Jahre länger. Das Wasser aus den Quellen ist trinkbar. 7 QUELLEN 30 Min LINDOS Weiter bis zur Ostküstenstraße und dann nach rechts in Richtung Lindos. LINDOS 2 Stunden Top 1 Sehenswürdigkeit Angeberwissen Lindos ist die Sehenswürdigkeit Nr. 1 auf Rhodos. Der Ort ist ausgezeichnet durch eine wunderschöne Bucht, eine weiße Stadt am Hang und die Akropolis mit Ihrem Tempel an der Spitze. Die Akropolis selbst ist einer der am besterhaltenen in Griechenland (Eintritt 12€). In der Stadt selbst fahren keine Autos. Es gibt viele verwinkelte Gassen zwischen den weißen Blockhäusern in denen man sich verlieren kann. Lindos ist der Besuchermagnet der Insel - zurecht! GUTE REISE & VIEL SPAß.

His family was forced to immigrate to Turkey for fear of losing their Turkish identity. He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Agriculture in 1969 and earned his professorship in 1989. He has authored 12 course books and over 200 scientific articles. He has always tried to pass novelties and scientific knowledge on to farmers, who are his target audience. These activities earned him many scientific awards and plaques of appreciation. His achievements include •“Gödence Village Agricultural Development Cooperative Achievement Award, 2003”; •“TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Scientific Award, 2004”; and •“Turkish Sheep Breeders Scientific Award, 2009”. His name was given to a Street in Acıpayam (denizli) in 2003. In addition to his course books, Prof. Kaymakçı is also the author of five books on agricultural and scientific policies. According to 1987 estimates the total annual consumption in water has risen to 30 Mm3. The island of Rhodes was chosen as a case study as it relies mostly on the exploitation of groundwater resources and faces serious water shortage problems due to the aquifers depletion. Alternatives are discussed and compared in contrast to the construction of storage dams so as to meet the urban demand up to the year 2040. Results may indicate that by using also financial incentives and management approaches, desalination powered by RES could be an attractive and environmentally friendly option in an effort to solve problems related to water quantity and quality in semi-arid regions with adequate Renewable Energy potential. 1.
