To ensure safe future for young women, West Bengal government has launched a scheme called “Rupashree”."Rupashree" scheme aimed at providing an amount of Rs 25000 marriage assistance to girls coming from economically weaker families whose family income is uoto Rs 1.5 lakh.
While previous Kanyashree scheme promotes education among women, Rupashree scheme complements it with marriage assistance.
