First World War Item Project Title Project Description Applicant Decision 1 Armistice Festival A five month project in Rugby and Daventry The Wheels on Award Grant of £10,000 culminating in a five day event with a tea dance, Debussy (67%) exhibition, concert and poetry slam. 2 Peace and The project will explore the experiences of local Secret City Arts Award Grant of £10,000 Remembrance families following the Armistice in Handsworth. Two (100%) names will be taken from the War Memorial at Rookery School and their families will be researched. 3 Trench Brothers The largely unrecognised contributions of Black and HMDT Music Award Grant of £10,000 National Memorial Ethnic Minority soldiers during the First World War, (100%) Arboretum and their impact on local history will be explored.

Sharing Heritage Item Project Title Project Description Applicant Decision 4 Kingshurst: Who are Over 24 weeks, 20 pupils aged 8-11 will explore the St Anthony’s Catholic Reject we? history of the people of Kingshurst, an “overspill” Primary School suburb of Birmingham created in the 1950s. They will partner with schools from Digbeth and Aston. 5 History Now Over 12 months, 4 volunteers and 8 participants will DJ School Reject explore the history and impact of the Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent and share their findings in a resource pack. 6 Pind Life In partnership with the Sikh Union and with help from Lions Club of Award Grant of £10,000 the Herbert gallery, the one-year project will Coventry Godiva (89%) celebrate Asian rural life and traditions that are part of the cultural roots of Coventry's Asian population and share with the wider community. 7 Celebrating Repton The eight-month project will add heritage activities to Warley Woods Reject a regular annual festival, hold a talk and promote the Community Trust
