SULTANS OF SWAT: The O’s became the fourth team since 1920 to have two different players win the title in consecutive years (Nelson Cruz in 2014 and Chris Davis in 2013), joining the 1936-37 Yankees ( 49 and Joe DiMaggio 46), 1987-88 Athletics (Mark McGwire 49 & Jose Canseco 42), and 1993-94 Giants ( 46 & Matt Williams 43).

WALK IT OFF: The Orioles recorded 10 walk-off wins in 2014, with three of them coming via a home run (Matt Wieters on May 1 vs. Pittsburgh, Chris Davis on June 23 vs. Chicago-AL, and Manny Machado July 29 vs. Los Angeles-AL)…The Orioles won the June 25 game against the White Sox on a walk- off wild pitch…The Orioles’ nine walk-off hits all came from different players (David Lough, Nick Markakis, Wieters, Steve Clevenger, Davis, Nick Hundley, Machado, Jimmy Paredes, and Kelly Johnson).
