Maryland (10-21) and Metro 15’s (33-8) School’s/Club’s record and finish in 2013/2014 (even if you were not there)? 13-19 List Your Career Accomplishments to Date (use additional sheet if necessary): I was a student practice player and manager for Penn State (2003-2007) in which we won 3 Big Ten Champions. Upon graduating from Penn State in 2007, I become a full time volunteer for Penn State where we won the 2007 National Championship. I had the chance to coach Megan Hodge, Alisha Glass, Christa Harmotto and Nicole Fawcett (Current National Team Players) while we went 33-2. After the 2007 season, I went to work for TCA Volleyball club in Southern California. In 2008, I was an assistant coach for the 18-Open team that won a Gold Medal at the USAV Nationals. In 2009 I was an assistant coach for the 16-Open team that won a silver at USAV Nationals. I had the chance to coach Lydia Bai (Stanford), Morgan Boukather (Stanford), Lane Carrico (Current AVP player), Stevi Robinson (USA Volleyball), Cassie Strickland (University of Washington) amongst others. While I was working at TCA, I was also the volunteer assistant coach at the University of California-Irvine. During the 2009 season, I was part of a new staff that took a team that was 17-13 and improved to 22-8 (which was the highest team winning percentage in program history) After the 2009 college season, I accepted a job as the Director of Operations for Penn State. During my 4 years there, we won 3 Big Ten titles, made 3 Final Four Appearances, and won 2 National Champions. Upon winning the National Championship I the accepted the assistant coaching position at the University of Maryland. I was a High School All-State volleyball player in Pennsylvania when I got the chance to meet Russ Rose. He asked me to help him out as a practice player when I was enrolled at Penn State. I went from being a practice player, to being a manager, to being a volunteer. During my time there, Coach Rose mentored me and helped me find my passion for coaching. Upon graduating college, I never wanted to do anything else but Coach. What are your career goals in the sport? As an aspiring young coach, I hope to lead a program of my own someday. For now I’m excited to help the University of Maryland in our transition into the Big Ten conference. I’m looking forward to watching this program grow and then see where the coaching profession takes me. Like most individual awards, I believe this is a reflection of the great coaches and athletes that I’ve had the opportunity to work with over the years. I’m thankful for all they have done for me, and I hope someday I can give back as well. .
