Tribute to hit and run victim The grandfather who was left to die on the side of the road after a tragic hit-and-run in Beckenham has died as a result of his injuries. The family of 84- year-old John Peters said they were “abso- lutely devastated” by the loss of their grand- father, who died sur- rounded by family last week. “There are no words to describe our loss and the emotions we are feeling. It is truly tragic and traumatic the way Grandad lost his life,” granddaughter Kaitlin Dawson said on behalf of the family.
