Steel Valley Outdoors: 120 Parks in 100 Miles I Started Steel Valley Outdoors to promote an active lifestyle in Northeast . I felt that for far too long, people did not know about the recreational Opportunities in our area. Rfrom Hunting, fishing and Skiing, to Kayaking, Hiking and Rock Climbing, we have a little bit of evverything.

But it's more important than that. Economic redevelopment is important to our area. We have a lot of building to do. In order to bring new industries and new jobs into Northeast Ohio, we need to shamelessly promote a positive environment. From artistic and cultural activities to the outdoors, I think we can compete with the big guys. I mean, come on: no one ever accused Seattle of having gret weather, but they've done a great job of getting new industry in and of promoting outdoor recreation. How varied are the Outdoor Recreation opportunities in Northeast Ohio? Well, Let's see, I've compiled a list of at least 120 places you can go for Outdoor recreation. These are all official, public areas.

I Don't list commercial properties or unofficial sites: no gaslines or mining areas. I based my Search on my Location in Boardman, and I might have cheated a bit at the edges: Minister Creek is only within 100 if you start at I-80, but what the heck.
