Southern Combo State Tennis November Dear Partners in Sport, 5-8, 2015, November 12- 15, 2015 Althea Gibson It's hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us Tennis Complex, Wilmington and there is much to be thankful for, but I'm grateful that it's always tis the season in NC. And of course, I'm not TowneBank Outer referring to the holiday season! It was a great summer Banks Marathon season and the fall season thus far has been full of Southern Fried Half events and new connections. Marathon Weekend November 6-8, 2015 Speaking of connections, SportsNC had quite the Outer Banks delegation at the Connect Sports Marketplace & Olympic Sportslink held Aug. 26-29 in Pittsburgh. 26 Surf to Sound attendees representing 21 SportsNC member November 6-8, 2015 Blockade Runner Beach organizations met with events rights holders in pre- Resort, Wrightsville scheduled appointments. SportsNC also hosted 50+ Beach clients for a client appreciation reception the open night of the tradeshow, which was a huge success! The ACC Women's Soccer annual tradeshow brought together 300+ rights holders Championship and sports planners including representatives from 49 November 6 & 8, 2015 states and seven countries. WakeMed Soccer Park, Cary SportsNC will also have a presence at the upcoming
Willie Stargell Celebrity TEAMS Conference & Expo, Nov. 9-12 in Las Vegas. 23 Golf Tournament attendees representing 18 SportsNC member November 6-8, 2015 organizations will exhibit in the SportsNC booth and Landfall Country Club meet with events rights holders in pre-scheduled Wilmington appointments. Carolina Shootout New Facilities Soccer Tournament November 7-8, 2015 The Wilmington Basketball Mooresville, Concord Center (WBC) opened its doors on Monday, June 15, 2015 and NCYSA Keepner's Cup is the newest athletic facility in November 7-9, 2015 New Hanover County. The Gillette Soccer Complex, 16,400-square-foot center Wilson consists of two full size
basketball courts, and can accommodate approximately CASL visitRaleigh.com National Soccer Series 200 speculators. The facility is open to utilizing the November 7-8, 14-15, space for multiple sports and is available for rent based 20-22 & December 4-6, on availability. 2015 WRAL Soccer Park and The mission of WBC is to provide the youth of other venues Wilmington with the tools and skills they need to be successful students, athletes, and citizens of the 2015 Phenom Hoops community. The WBC currently offers afterschool High School Showcase basketball programs on the weekdays, open to boys and November 13-14, 2015 girls of all skill levels. NCYSA Final Four November 13-15, 2015 Gillette Soccer Complex, The new Davidson College Wilson Tennis Complex is the home of the Wildcat Men's and Thunder Road Women's tennis teams, in Marathon, November addition to the indoor courts at 14, 2015, streets of the Knobloch Indoor Tennis Charlotte Center next to the Baker Sports Complex. The Town of Cary has recently unveiled plans to Charlotte expand and upgrade the facility that currently boasts 30 courts on 24 acres, including a stadium court, locker CASL Boys Showcase rooms and spectator seating. The Town of Cary plans to November 20-22, 2015 convert four existing courts to seven covered courts that Gillette Soccer Complex, will allow for year-round play and provide relief for Wilson events if they're affected by less-than-ideal weather conditions. The $4.5 million renovation, currently in the NCHSAA Boys Soccer design phase, also includes upgrades to the current club State Championships house and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. November 21, 2015 Dail Field at N.C. State The new parking deck at the Rotary Speckled Trout Hickory Metro Convention Shootout Center opened in October November 21, 2015 2015. There are 167 new Jacksonville Landing parking spaces on the parking deck, which brings the total NAIA Cross Country number of parking spaces at the convention center to Nationals, November 902. Americana Live Car Show, November 28, 2015, Lake Norman NBA Development League coming to Greensboro Turkey Trot 4-Mile Trail Run, November 29, The NBA Development League 2015 and the Charlotte Hornets officially announced that the Carolina Beach State team has acquired the right to own and operate an NBA Park D-League team in Greensboro. The team will play its 24 home games at the Pavilion at the Greensboro USYA National League Coliseum Complex, which will be renovated into a Girls Event, December basketball field house, beginning with the 2016-17 3-6, 2015, Gillette season. With the purchase, the Hornets become the Soccer Complex, record 11th NBA team to fully own and operate its NBA Wilson; Rocky Mount D-League affiliate, while the NBA D-League expands to Sports Complex a record 20 teams. More than 40 percent of the last five NBA draft classes have played in the NBA D-League, Lake Norman Duals including 15 2014 first-round selections. NCHSAA Football State Championships Event Recaps December 11-12, 2015 Carter-Finley Stadium, Visit Lake Norman hosted the Raleigh NC Junior Team Tennis State Championships - July 17-19, William H. Craig 5k which was the largest Junior Race for Life, December Tennis State Championships 12, 2015, Legion in USTA NC's history. 674 Stadium, Wilmington junior players & 92 teams competed at 6 different venues in the Lake Norman Huntersville Half area. Marathon & Holiday 5K December 12, 2015 Lake Norman In October, the eighth annual PPD Beach2Battleship Iron 5k Jingle Bell Run Distance Triathlon brought December 13, 2015 nearly 2,300 athletes, along Wrightsville Beach Park with their friends, family and trainers to Wilmington and UnderArmour Wrightsville Beach area, according to the Wilmington Basketball Showcase and Beaches CVB. An additional 300 runners were December 18-20, 2015 expected to participate in the second annual New UNC-Greensboro Hanover Regional Medical Center 5K, held in conjunction with the triathlon. An estimated 8,000 HighShoolOT.com spectators were expected to come out and cheer the Holiday Invitational athletes. The producer of the PPD Beach2Battleship December 28-30, 2015 Triathlon reports that approximately 95 percent of the Broughton HS (boys) participants traveled from outside the local area.
