The Miscellaneous debtor figure includes the Irish Water SLA recoupments, With the extension of the current lockdown, the Corporate, Community & Enterprise, LEO, Planning, Government has announced an extension to the Enforcement, Environment, Sports, Vets, Arts, Rates Waiver Scheme. We are awaiting the full Roads, Library, Museum and Finance details of this scheme from the Department and miscellaneous billings. when it is received, we will update the details on our website. Water Services Staleen WTW Upgrade

Louth PPN ‘Older Persons’ Thematic Project The Older Persons project Team have met twice and agreed to issue Spring Wellbeing packs to older people in Louth who are isolating and not yet engaged with technology. The PPN is working collaboratively with the Council’s Age Friendly Team, Heritage Officer, and Healthy Louth to deliver this project. Each pack will contain items to encourage older people to get outdoors and become more active, including seed bombs, filled bird feeders, exercise plans and more. PPN groups and the Community Policing Units across Louth have nominated older people within their communities through ongoing visits who will benefit from these Spring packs.

The Housebound Delivery Service continues for elderly or vulnerable people who are cocooning or in isolation. Deliveries are being coordinated from all of our branches serving both urban and rural areas in Louth. During the month of February there were 120 deliveries to borrowers spread throughout the county. New members have registered to use the service in addition to those who were already availing of it. Feedback to staff from users is that people are most appreciative of this service, some taking the time to send thank you cards. Seachtain na Gaeilge March 1st-17th Touch Type Read Spell Licences

400 TTRS (Touch, Type, Read, Spell) licences were made available to lend (DRCD funded 2019) to DEIS schools, adults learners, non-English speakers and other marginalized groups. 90% of the licences were allocated to these groups with the remaining 10% made available to the general public. National Retention Policy Records Management Working Group Work is underway on the draft revisions both for Community and for Economic Development. The draft revision for Corporate is with local authorities for comment and Environment will follow shortly; Transport & Infrastructure is at the validation stage. To date, Health & Safety, Planning & Development, Housing, Procurement, Finance, HR and Water have been completed, approved and issued out to Drogheda Book Collective local authorities. Festival in a Van

With funding secured by Louth County Council from the Healthy Ireland/ Sláintecare Community Resilience Fund 2020, a visit by Festival in Van will Beyond 2022 take place on 6th April 2021 to three nursing homes in Louth. Creative Spark, in conjunction with Visual Arts Ireland and the Arts Office, are hosting a peer In line with current Government advice the Museum critique course open to visual artists in Louth. This is currently closed to the public. is a platform for artists to receive feedback and the chance to generate a discussion around their work. Creative Spark is also offering a new series of online taster classes suitable for adults and teens in March. Learn a new skill with expert tutors - a relaxing and fun way to get creative. Artists will also run short follow up zoom sessions for participants with tips, tricks and advice. A series of 8 short films entitled ‘This is our Arts Centre’ is premiering every Wednesday at 7pm on An Táin Arts Centre’s facebook page. They focus on local theatre, musical, dance and educational groups that have been unable to use our Arts Centre the way they once did prior to Covid-19. Heritage Funding

The Heritage Officer is developing applications for various funding streams that will open in the next few weeks and months, including liaising with voluntary organisations throughout the county. An annual implementation plan is being drafted for the Local Biodiversity Action Plan for 2021 to 2026. A cross departmental team is being established to ensure that all sections of the Council implement the actions for which they are responsible.
