Brian Fedish, PGA Brian Fedish is a proud United States Army Veteran who served during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Brian participated in 9 battalion level combat operations, 19 company level combat operations, four 2-week dismounted missions and 5 scout platoon combat operations, one of which resulted in Brian potentially saving many lives while under indirect fire instinctively diverting inbound aircraft away from the HLZ only moments before additional rounds impacted. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal for his services provided overseas. Upon return to the United States, Brian also received a Presidential Citation Award for service in a unit cited in the name of the President of the United States for extraordinary heroism in action. Brian was elected into PGA Membership on July 1st, 2011. Prior to joining Plantation Lakes, Brian most spent 9 ½ years as a First Assistant Golf Professional at The Polo Club of Boca Raton in South Florida. While at The Polo Club he attained Level 3 Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor, Level 2 Golf Coach, and Level 3 Junior Coach Certifications. Brian has experience using the latest technology in the , including FlightScope, K-Vest and BodiTrak. He has vast experience running tournaments and providing instruction in individual and group settings. Brian has a strong passion to excel beyond his call of duty and always strives to improve. Brian also worked at Burning Ridge Country Club, the 2006 Myrtle Beach and South Carolina course of the year. He has volunteered with The First Tee program of Myrtle Beach, Special Olympics, Father & Son Classic, and Monday after the Masters Event. Ian Madinger, PGA Ian joined the ICON team in 2016 as an Assistant Golf Professional. He’s a PGA Professional from Honolulu, Hawaii, where he picked up golf at a young age and played competitively in regional, state, and scholastic junior golf associations. While he studied at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, he was employed as a PGA Apprentice and resort employee at the Country Club of Colorado at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. During the off-season, he worked at the fitness, tennis center, and conference services departments to familiarize himself with other aspects of club operations. Today, Ian enjoys competing in PGA and DSGA professional and pro-am tournaments, occasionally with Plantation Lakes Golf Members. Ian is fulfilled by helping golfers feel welcomed, improve their skills through instruction and fun player development programs. He is also a club making/repair specialist who conducts custom club fitting sessions for golfers of all types and abilities. In his free time, Ian enjoys surfing and . Matthew Cooney Originally from Fenwick Island, Delaware, Matt graduated from Indian River High School in 2011. He later attended The Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to pursue an education in Golf Complex Operations. Matt graduated with a series of skills to include certifications in club fitting, club repair and golf instruction. Upon graduation, Matt accepted a position as Assistant Golf Professional at Trump National Doral, home of the famed Blue Monster and former home of the PGA Tours' World Golf Championship Cadillac Championship. From there, Matt moved on to La Gorce Country Club in Miami Beach as Assistant Merchandising Professional. He gained experience working closely with a diverse and prestigious membership, refining his knowledge of the golf industry as a whole. He has volunteered for multiple special Olympic and Paralympic events focusing on golf. One of his proudest achievements has been caddying and helping to promote para-athletes through various events and social media outlets.

Matt aspires to one day become a Director of Golf and help the industry grow exponentially as he believes there is a world of untapped potential and love for the game of golf just waiting to come out.

Plantation Lakes Homeowners’ Association, Inc. Benefitted Community Facilities Rules & Regulations

The following rules & regulations (the “Rules”) have been adopted by the Golf Board of the Plantation Lakes Homeowners’ Association, Inc. (the “Association”) to enhance the preservation of the Benefitted Community Facilities and the safety and convenience of the users thereof. These Rules are for the Benefitted Community Facilities and are in addition to those adopted for the general Community Facilities. It is the responsibility of those using any of the Benefitted Community Facilities to know these Rules and to cooperate in their enforcement. All capitalized terms used, but not defined, in these Rules shall have the meanings set forth in the Third Amended and Restated Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, Restrictions and Reservation of Easements for Plantation Lakes, as it may be further amended from time to time as provided therein (the “Declaration”).

BENEFITTED COMMUNITY FACILITIES

MEMBER PRIVILEGES IN GENERAL 1. Benefitted Members and other Persons shall be entitled to the enjoyment of the Benefitted Community Facilities, if applicable, in accordance with the Declaration and these Rules. 2. Use privileges of the Benefitted Members will be extended to two (2) adult individuals who legally reside in the Dwelling Unit on the applicable Benefitted Lot, along with the children of such individuals who also legally reside in such Dwelling Unit and who are under twenty-one (21) years of age. The two (2) adult individuals and any applicable children shall be designated in writing to the Association and may be changed no more than one (1) time per calendar year.

TRANSFER OF PRIVILEGES 1. Any Benefitted Member may transfer the right of enjoyment to the Benefitted Community Facilities to tenants residing in the Benefitted Member’s Dwelling Unit provided a completed transfer form is signed by the Benefitted Member and submitted to the office, along with payment of the transfer processing fee. 2. During the period specified on the transfer form, which shall not be less than three (3) full calendar months, the Benefitted Member’s right to the enjoyment of the Benefitted Community Facilities privileges shall be suspended. 3. The transferee must be renting and residing in the Dwelling Unit for which the privileges are transferred in accordance with the lease fulfilling the requirements under Section 6.11 of the Declaration. 4. If privileges are transferred for the use of the Benefitted Community Facilities, they will be extended to two (2) adult individuals who legally reside in the Dwelling Unit on the applicable Benefitted Lot, along with the children of such individuals who also legally reside in such Dwelling Unit and who are under twenty-one (21) years of age. The two (2) adult individuals and any applicable children shall be designated in writing to the Association and may be changed no more than one (1) time per calendar year. 5. Any transfer which is not in accordance with the policies outlined above will be rescinded immediately. In addition, a fee equal to the current guest fee will be charged to the Benefitted Member involved for each round of golf played under an unauthorized transfer

GUEST PRIVILEGES 1. An individual who is the guest of a Benefitted Member or a Benefitted Member’s transferee will be entitled to the use of the Benefitted Community Facilities subject to the Declaration and these Rules. 2. An individual who has paid a daily guest fee for the use of the golf course is also entitled to use of the clubhouse for that particular day. 3. The manager of the Benefitted Community Facilities or any other management personnel employed by the Association may deny guest privileges to any individual, when, in their opinion, it is in the best interest of the Association to do so. 4. A maximum of 3 guests per member are allowed on the golf course. All guests must be playing with a Member.

LOCAL GUEST PLAY A guest of a Benefitted Member who resides in Sussex County, or who owns a Lot that is not a Benefitted Lot, is considered a “Local Guest”. A Local Guest may play golf at the member/guest rate a maximum of six (6) times per season (April 1st through October 31st). This limitation applies even if a guest is sponsored by a different Benefitted Member each time they play or if they are a guest of more than one Benefitted Member. After a Local Guest has reached his/her maximum of six (6) times of play per season at the member/guest rate, he/she will still be permitted to play golf, but will be required to pay the applicable public rate. For clarity, this restriction does not apply to the immediate family of a Benefitted Member (i.e. spouse/significant other, parent, sibling, child, or grandchild of a Benefitted Member).

MEMBERSHIP CARDS Benefitted Members, transferees and applicable members of their families may be issued membership cards. If issued, (i) Benefitted Members may be required to present their membership cards prior to use of all or any portion of the Benefitted Community Facilities; and (ii) a fee may be charged for replacement of any lost membership cards.

MISSION It is our mission to provide Members and their guests an exceptional experience.

SERVICE 1. Slow, unsatisfactory or improper service or any inattention to duty should be reported immediately to the applicable manager on duty. Complaints of all deficiencies in service will receive the immediate attention of such manager. 2. We welcome all comments. Suggestions or concerns relating to the Benefitted Community Facilities or related services should be brought to the attention of the applicable manager.

EMPLOYEES OF THE ASSOCIATION 1. Members, transferees and guests are to be respectful of all Association employees and are not permitted to reprimand Association employees or in any way interfere with the management of the Association or the Community Facilities. 2. Serious complaints regarding specific employees assigned to the Benefitted Community Facilities should be made in writing addressed to the manager of the Benefitted Community Facilities, who will notify the Golf Board and the complaining member of the corrective action, if any was taken.

USE OF THE COMMUNITY FACILITIES IN GENERAL 1. Members, transferees and guests shall at all times conduct themselves in an orderly fashion as ladies and gentlemen. 2. Proper attire is to be worn at all times in accordance with acceptable practice for the particular area of the Community Facilities. 3. The hours of operation of the various Community Facilities shall be determined by the applicable manager and may be adjusted seasonally as usage dictates. 4. Gambling is not permitted in the clubhouse in accordance with state liquor law regulations. 5. Subscriptions, petitions, or notices not concerning the Association or the Community Facilities shall not be distributed or posted on any Community Facilities property without approval of the appropriate manager. 6. Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children at all times. 7. The cost of replacing any property of the Association, broken, damaged or removed by any Member, transferee, guest or any member of their families shall be charged to the Member or transferee concerned. 8. No food or beverage shall be brought into the clubhouse or consumed on the Community Facilities premises unless purchased from the Association. 9. All decorations for private parties, other than table centerpieces, must have the approval of the appropriate manager. 10. Non-service animals are not permitted in the clubhouse or pool area or on the tennis courts, golf course or any other Community Facilities. 11. The parking areas are marked in a manner which permits maximum use with a minimum of inconvenience. Anyone found parking improperly will be warned, but repeated infractions will result of the removal of the offending vehicle at the Member’s expense.

12. Personal property should not be left unattended at the Community Facilities. The Association is not responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen property under any circumstances. 13. For the safety of all concerned, no skateboards may be used on or within the Community Facilities. 14. The Association is not responsible for any loss, cost, claim, injury, damage or liability that may be sustained by any Person as a result of, or in connection with, any use of the Community Facilities.

ATHLETIC LOCKERS AND STORAGE (not yet available) Athletic lockers, golf club storage and cleaning services may be available on a daily basis. Information on both can be obtained in the golf shop. The Association is not responsible for missing items from lockers under any circumstances.

DRIVING RANGE Practice balls will be available for during normal operating hours at applicable cost.

GOLF COURSE RULES In setting these rules for the use of the golf course, the Association is in no way attempting to restrict the enjoyment obtained from playing our golf course. However, it is necessary to follow certain procedures to ensure maximum enjoyment and safety to all golfers. It is hoped that pride in our Community Facilities, together with the thoughtfulness and consideration we afford our fellow golfers, will make enforcement of any rules unnecessary. 1. The from the United States Golf Association (USGA) govern play. 2. The use of the golf course is controlled by the manager of the Benefitted Community Facilities under the direction of the Golf Board and is supervised by the Head Golf Professional. 3. Without exception all players must register at the golf shop before playing the golf course. 4. The Head Golf Professional and Golf Course Superintendent shall determine when the golf course conditions prohibit play. 5. All play must start on designated Number 1 tee unless otherwise directed by the golf shop staff. 6. No more than four players per group are permitted unless authorized by the golf shop staff. 7. Practice golf activities shall be limited to those areas of the golf course designated for such activities. Practice is prohibited to, or on, regular greens and fairways of the golf course. 8. The Head Golf Professional, after consultation with the manager of the Benefitted Community Facilities, may establish certain days and times during which the course shall be reserved for certain golf days and special events. 9. All paper, bottles, cans and other trash should be placed in a trash receptacle. 10. Each player must have a set of golf clubs and a golf bag when playing the golf course. 11. No coolers are allowed on the golf course unless supplied by the Association. 12. Ball hawking (the act of looking for lost golf balls other than your own while playing) is not permitted at any time. 13. Damage to any private property, outside the boundaries of the golf course, caused purposely or by accident, shall be the responsibility of the person causing the damage.

GOLF CART OPERATION 1. Individuals operating golf carts must have a valid driver’s license. 2. Golf carts restricted to two riders and two bags. 3. During normal operating conditions, the 90-degree rule is always in effect. Golf carts are to remain on cart paths until reaching a point adjacent to where the ball lies. At that point, golf carts may be driven across fairway directly to the ball and should return to the cart path on the same line after the shot has been played. 4. The Head Golf Professional and Golf Course Superintendent shall determine when golf cart operation is prohibited or restricted to cart paths only. 5. No personal golf carts are permitted on the golf course or cart paths at any time. 6. Golf carts must remain on the cart path on 3s at all times. 7. The driver of the golf cart always assumes responsibility for returning the golf cart in the same condition. The driver is also responsible for any damage that occurs through operation of the golf cart.

8. Golf carts are never permitted on the shoulder or surface of any tee, green or bunker. The roped areas indicate the superintendent restricted areas for cart traffic. Exception: When Handicap Flag Privilege (defined below) is in effect.

HANDICAP FLAG PRIVILEGE The golf shop offers the use of handicap flags for golf carts for those individuals who, for medical reasons, will benefit from their use (the “Handicap Flag Privilege”). A golfer who submits a valid handicap parking permit from any government agency may be extended this privilege. Handicap Flag Privileges may be suspended or revoked, with or without warning, for abuse of this privilege.

RULES OF THE HANDICAP FLAG 1. A golf cart displaying a Handicap Flag may be driven up to the green or tee. 2. At no time should a golf cart displaying a Handicap Flag be parked or driven on the green or tee. 3. No golf cars are allowed beyond the boundary of the golf course which is defined by out-of-bounds stakes. 4. In case of inclement weather or certain golf course conditions, golf carts may be restricted to the cart paths. No handicap flag privilege will be extended for that time. If “cart path only” is limited to select holes, Handicap Flag Privileges will not be extended for those holes so designated. 5. Handicap Flag Privileges are extended only to the person who has submitted valid documentation and has been approved for its use. This privilege does not extend to an additional golf cart rider or other person who is not registered for Handicap Flag Privileges. 6. The Ranger/Starter has absolute authority for all traffic control. If a player refuses to abide by the rules of the day (as stated above), his/her Handicap Flag Privileges may be suspended after review by the Head Golf Professional. 7. The Association is happy to extend the Handicap Flag Privilege to those golfers who qualify for its use.

GOLF COURSE AND DRIVING RANGE DRESS CODE 1. Golfers must wear proper golf attire at all times. 2. Men cannot wear jeans, bathing attire, T-shirts, shirts without collars, gym shorts, tank tops, mesh shirts, cut-offs, tennis shorts and shorts that are not more than 17-inches long on the out seam. 3. Ladies cannot wear jeans, bathing attire, T-shirts, gym shorts, tank tops, tube or halter tops, mesh shirts, cut-offs, tennis skirts or shorts that are not 17-inches long on the out seam. Dress shirts without collars are permitted; however, shirts must have a collar if they do not have sleeves. 4. Juniors must wear normal junior sportswear, which means shirts with a collar, appropriate length slacks or skirts and no cut-offs or jeans. 5. Anyone not conforming to the dress code outlined above will be asked to change their clothing before he or she will be allowed to play golf or use the golf driving range.

TEE TIME POLICIES The following policies are not meant to limit or restrict the enjoyment of the golf course, but to provide an enjoyable opportunity for golf. 1. All Member tee times will be made by membership name. The applicable I.D. number may be required. 2. Members and transferees may make tee times up to 10 days in advance at the , prior to the implementation of a computerized call-in system. 3. Notice of any cancellation should be given at least twenty-four hours prior to the scheduled tee time. Anyone failing to give adequate notice of cancellation may have their golfing privileges suspended. 4. Players must be ready to commence play at the time established by their starting time or lose their starting time. In the event of such loss, the players may not commence play until authorized by the golf shop staff.

JUNIOR PLAY 1. Children who are 18 through 21 years of age, who reside with their parents are entitled to the same privileges as their parents. 2. Juniors, who are children under 18 years of age, are not allowed to start before 2:30 pm unless accompanied by an adult golfing Member. 3. The Head Golf Professional may waive restrictions for juniors provided they are able to assure the Head Golf Professional that they have adequate knowledge of golf rules and .

GOLF COURTESY AND ETIQUETTE Golf is a game where courtesy and etiquette should always be observed. The following policies should be strictly adhered to for the maximum enjoyment of everyone using the golf course. 1. Please repair ball marks on greens and sand divots in fairways. 2. Please rake your tracks leaving a sand bunker. 3. After finishing a hole, place the flag in the hole and leave the green area immediately. Proceed to the next tee, do not remain parked along the side of the green; mark your scores at the next tee. 4. Please be respectful of private property surrounding the golf course. Under no circumstances shall golf carts be driven on, or any shot played from, other than golf course property. 5. Slow Play is not permitted. Players are required to maintain a pace of play that keeps them up with the group in front of them. Rangers and/or golf shop staff consistently monitor the speed of play and are required to enforce the following policies for the pleasure and enjoyment of the entire field: (a) First Offense: The group has fallen behind the group in front of them and has fallen behind the allotted time limit for their position on the course. The ranger will indicate your group is out of position and that you need to catch up to the group in front. (b) Second Offense: The group has not improved their position. The ranger will approach the group and inform them of their second warning and that the next offense will require them to skip an entire hole. (c) Third Offense: The group has been warned properly and has not improved their position. The ranger will escort the group to the next hole. 6. Inexperienced golfers are asked to refrain from playing during peak times of the day.

GOLF HANDICAPS A golf handicap service is provided for Members and transferees for a yearly fee to be determined by the Head Golf Professional. 1. To be eligible for tournament play, an authorized USGA handicap may be required as deemed necessary by the Head Golf Professional.

BALL HAWKING (Looking for “lost” golf balls on Benefitted Community Facilities) PROCEDURE 1. First Offense: Request by golf shop staff to discontinue ball hawking. 2. Second Offense: Form letter from the manager of the Benefitted Community Facilities quoting the “Rules and Regulations” booklet and notify a wrongdoer of future action if ball hawking continues. 3. Third Offense: Suspending of golf privileges for a period of two (2) weeks. 4. Fourth Offense: Length of suspension for use of all Benefitted Community Facilities will be determined by the Golf Board

WALKING POLICY 1. All tee times reserved by non-golf members or any players prior to 3pm are committed to a mandatory golf cart. 2. Members may walk the golf course after 3pm year round. Certain provisions apply: a. All tee times with mandatory carts must be teed off on the golf course. During core season months, this may be as late as 5pm. b. Golf Shop staff can authorize earlier walking depending on traffic and time of the year (fees may apply). 3. Members intending to walk are required to check in to confirm there are no more carts going out for the day. 4. Any walk-on cart riding play is subject to starting after walking play, given that the time permitted for walking has begun. 5. All walking play must take a sand bottle to refill divots on the golf course.

TENNIS RULES Members and their guests shall have the right to use the tennis courts at any time during tennis operating hours. The tennis operating hours are daily from 8 am to 8 pm or as otherwise determined by the Board of Directors. Variations of time will depend on the season, weather and utilization of the tennis facilities. Courts are not to be used whenever nets are lowered. 1. The code, as published by the United States Tennis Association, shall govern play. 2. Playing guests must be accompanied by a Member or transferee. 3. No food or beverage shall be brought onto the Tennis Courts unless purchased at the Community Facilities. 4. Tennis Courts are not to be used for any purpose other than for tennis. Without limiting the foregoing, no skateboards may be used on the tennis courts at any time.

TENNIS DRESS CODE 1. Proper tennis attire, as determined by the manager of the Community Facilities, is required at all times. 2. All clothes that are tennis specific are acceptable. Undershirts, cut-offs, bermudas, jams, midriffs, bathing suits, jeans, gym shorts, running shorts, cargo shorts, halter-tops and aerobic wear will not be considered proper tennis attire and are not permitted. Smooth- soled shoes are required.

COURT RESERVATIONS All members and guests are required to use the tennis court reservation system in the pro shop. Players without reserved court times are always welcome, but are asked to check in with the pro shop. 1. Reservations can be made 7 days prior to play. Players are requested to limit play to 1½ hours. 2. Players without a reserved court time will be asked to relinquish a court which has been previously reserved. 3. The manager of the Community Facilities may block off times during which the courts will be reserved for leagues or special functions.

TENNIS COURTESY AND ETIQUETTE All players are expected to observe tennis etiquette on and off the tennis courts. 1. The use of profanity, loud noises or any form of misconduct will be subject to disciplinary action. 2. No person shall cross another tennis court while play is in progress, but shall wait until a point is over. 3. No person should distract or interfere with players while a match is in progress.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION Because there are always a few individuals who will not always observe these rules, the following infractions will be brought to the attention of the Board of Directors for disciplinary action: 1. Repeated violation of these Rules or any other Association rules. 2. Display of temper or other discourteous conduct resulting in damage to the Community Facilities or physical damage. 3. Disrespect shown to Association employees or fellow Members, transferees or guests. 4. Personal use of driving range balls on the Golf Course. 5. Failure to register guests when playing the Golf Course.

These Rules & Regulations may be amended, supplemented or otherwise revised from time to time in accordance with the Declaration.

Event Rules & Regulations

Event Registration: Registration for an event on any given day in this guide or otherwise will be available in the Golf Shop or online through a Golf Genius portal. Registration forms may be required for certain events. Registration for most events will open one month in advance, and will close one week prior to the event. Availability will not be guaranteed if any person signs up to play after registration has closed. Online tee times through Golf Genius will be available for leagues or through the Golf Shop on a registration sheet.

Rules of Golf: During club events, the USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. If any questions regarding a rules decision should occur on the golf course, simply follow Rule 3-3 of the USGA Rules of Golf:

When proceeding under Rule 3-3, the player must: Announce intention to play a second , recording scores for both, holing out with both balls, and receiving a ruling following play.

As provided in Rule 33-8a, the Committee may make and publish Local Rules for local abnormal conditions such as definitions of boundaries, margins, and status of objects, course protection, course conditions, obstructions, and dropping zones.

Etiquette: In an effort to uphold a steady pace of play, the Golf Shop staff may pair single players or twosomes with another group in an effort to reduce the likelihood of interference with other groups during their rounds. One 9-hole round of golf takes 2 hours and 10 minutes to play, with a small buffer added for tournament play.

The Golf Shop staff will do their best to inform players about the pace of play on a given day, however to better predict and anticipate the factors needed to uphold pace of play, golfers are strongly encouraged to book tee times in advance and adhere to their assigned tee time and group. All golfers should be ready to commence play at the tee area at their designated tee time. If late for a tee time, ask the Starter or Golf Shop Attendant to reposition you on the tee sheet. Do not commence play from anywhere other than the assigned hole, tee off before or after your tee time, or confront another group or player for any reason.

Your Golf Professional staff greatly appreciates your consideration of the rules of golf and any club policies or rules that relate to play or conduct. It is our responsibility to uphold these guidelines in an effort to make your Golf Benefitted Membership experience as friendly and enjoyable as possible.

Handicap Indexes established under the United States Golf Association (USGA) Handicap System are the backbone of amateur golf. They enable all golfers at your club to play equitably with one another and with the help of the USGA Slope system, to play away from home with ease and equality.

In order play in any Plantation Lakes events, eligible golfers must have an active handicap registered with the club. All scores must be posted, including 9-hole scores.

World Handicap System Features:

• Flexibility in formats of play, allowing both competitive and recreational rounds to count for handicap purposes and ensuring that a golfer’s handicap is more reflective of potential ability • A minimal number of scores needed to obtain a new handicap; a recommendation that the number of scores needed to obtain a new handicap be 54 holes from any combination of 18-hole and 9-hole rounds, but with some discretion available for national or regional associations to set a different minimum within their own jurisdiction • A consistent handicap that is portable from course to course and country to country through worldwide use of the USGA Course and Slope Rating System, already successfully used in more than 80 countries • An average-based calculation of a handicap, taken from the best eight out of the last 20 scores and factoring in memory of demonstrated ability for better responsiveness and control • A calculation that considers the impact that abnormal course and weather conditions might have on a player’s performance each day • Daily handicap revisions, taking account of the course and weather conditions calculation • A limit of Net Double Bogey on the maximum hole score (for handicapping purposes only). Hole-In-One Club

$10 per Player per Season

Any players who are members of the Hole-in-One Club that make a witnessed hole-in-one by the end of the season, October 31st, will receive the total shop credit amount (defined by the number of Hole-in-one Club registrants).

If multiple players make hole-in-ones, the pool will be split between them. If no hole-in-ones are made, the full amount of the Hole-in-One pool will carry over to the next year.

Members and Annual Pass holders may register any time. However, to receive credit for a recognized Hole-in-one, the following stipulations apply: Recipient(s) must have completed their hole-in-one at Plantation Lakes from within a designated teeing area and it must be their first stroke taken on any given hole. You must start at the first tee and play a round of at least nine holes to qualify (Except during match play). ▪ Even if the minimum nine holes are completed, but are done so as a practice round (using two or three balls), recipient(s) cannot score a USGA- recognized hole-in-one. One ball only must be played.

Recipient(s) must have at least one verified witness of the hole-in-one. The recipient and witness must have checked in at the Golf Shop prior to play.

2021 Demo/Fitting Days Schedule

Whether you are a new golfer interested in purchasing your first set of golf clubs, or an avid player looking to upgrade, it is beneficial to be properly fitted for equipment. Fitting days are a wonderful way to be properly fit and try the clubs that suit you the best.

Finding the right brand for your game is one challenge, but often times golfers have difficulty finding the right store to find their favorite brand. Testing a golf club indoors on a simulator is good, but attending a golf demo day where you can actually test clubs on the driving range in order to observe your ball flight with a manufacturer representative is even better.

Below is a list of the demo days by manufacturer that will be held at Plantation Lakes this year. On each day, attendees will work with staff directly from the manufacturer who are qualified to answer detailed questions for you.

THE LAKES CUP PLANTATION LAKES MEN’S ASSOCIATION PLAYOFFS

Much like the FedEx Cup on the PGA Tour, the top ranked players at the end of the season compete for payouts based on points. The player with the most points upon completion of the final round will be presented the Lakes Cup in addition to credit book winnings from the Player of the Year purse. Playoffs for the Plantation Lakes Men’s Association will commence in October for three consecutive weeks. Registration will be individual on all three weeks with pairings made based on player of the year points rankings (those with the most points are paired up together). Players will earn two times the amount of Lakes Cup player of the year points. In the event of a final-round tie, the player with the lowest total of the last 9, 6, 3, 1 hole(s) will break ties (USGA method). A 3-hole aggregate (total net score) will take place on October 20th in the event of an overall tie for 1st place in the Player of the Year Points Race (overall points only). The player with the most P.O.Y. points will be awarded the 2021 Lakes Cup Trophy following the final league play date. The P.O.Y Purse ($950 in 2019) will be distributed in full on October 20th to Members accounts following play based on the payout table below. Ties in points for the remaining payouts will be determined by the USGA stroke play card-off method based on the final round.

Rules of Play: This is a four-person net competition. The four competitors will play as a team and each will play their own ball. At each hole, one competitor will be designated as the Lone Ranger. The competitor listed first on the scorecard will be the Lone Ranger on the first hole played. The competitor listed second on the scorecard will be the Lone Ranger on the second hole played. The competitor listed third on the scorecard will be the Lone Ranger on the third hole played. The competitor listed fourth on the scorecard will be the Lone Ranger on the fourth hole played. On the fifth hole played, the order will start over with the competitor listed first on the scorecard. The team’s score for each hole will be the Lone Ranger’s score plus the 1 best ball of the remaining 3 competitors. The side (team) with the lowest 18-hole score will win the event.

Rules of Play: This is a four-person gross and net competition. The four competitors will play as a team and each will play their own ball. The lowest score will count as the team’s score for that hole and will be converted into points using the chart below:

At the end of the round, add together the points for the team point total. The team that has the highest point total will win the competition.

Format: Singles Match Play (18-Holes)

Rules of Play: This is a net match play competition. Each player will play their own ball. The match is won when one player leads by a number of holes greater than the number remaining to be played.

Handicapping & Flighting: The field will be flighted based upon participation levels. Men’s, Senior, Super Senior, and Women’s, Women’s Senior divisions will be offered and finalized based on participation. After flighting, all matches will take place within each designated flight in which the higher-handicapped player receives the full difference in course handicap between the two players; the lower-handicapped player plays from scratch (i.e. if Player A has a handicap of 10 and is opponent, Player B, has a handicap of 15, Player A will play to scratch and their opponent, Player B, will receive 5 strokes). If the difference in shots during a stipulated match exceeds 8 strokes, then the higher handicap player will be reduced an additional 10%.

FLAG TOURNAMENT

Date: Sunday, July 4th

Format: Individual stroke play (18-holes)

Rules of Play: This is an individual net competition. Each competitor will receive an American flag. Competitors will play the course until they reach a score of par + allotted handicap. Once you reach that point, you place your flag into the ground (i.e. par is 36 and you receive 10 strokes – your flag gets placed where the ball comes to rest after you hit your 46th shot). Whichever competitor makes it the furthest wins.

Note: If you complete 9-holes and still retain your flag, you will start a new 9-holes until you have reached your final shot.

Restrictions: No restrictions. All participants must have an established active handicap.

CHRIS O’HALLORAN MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT Charity Fundraiser Event

Date: Friday, July 23rd

Format: This charitable golf event is in honor of the late Chris O’Halloran, a Plantation Lakes resident, avid golfer, ambassador for the club and community, and the first homeowner on the Board of Directors at Plantation Lakes. Chris was a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey employee, a first responder to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and a United States Navy veteran. He passed away from lung cancer in June, 2019. This golf outing will benefit the Home of the Brave, supporting homeless veterans, in Chris’ honor. His legacy is one of generosity and kindness and will live on here at Plantation Lakes.

Following play a banquet will be held at The Landing.

Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Charity Outing

Rules of Play: In conjunction with the community’s breast cancer fundraiser on October 9th and 10th, the Breast Cancer Charity Golf Outing is also a way for members, homeowners, and guests to contribute to this worthy cause, with contests and mulligans as well as an event social following play.

Each competitor will tee off and the team will choose the best positioned ball. All four competitors will mark, lift, clean, and place their ball within one club length of the best positioned ball, but not nearer the hole. This process will continue through the green. MEMBER-STAFF SCRAMBLE

Dates: Friday, November 12th

Time: 2:00PM Shotgun Start

Format: 5-Player Step Aside Scramble (9-Holes)

Rules of Play: All players will hit their tee shots, then one best ball is chosen to be played and the person whose ball is chosen must ‘step aside’ and is not allowed to hit the next shot. This procedure continues until the ball is on the green. Once a ball is chosen on the green, all players may putt until the ball is holed. Once the ball is holed out, play ends for that hole.

To score a scramble, simply record the gross score for each hole on the “team score” line. No individual scores are recorded. At the end of the game, subtract the handicap from the total gross score and record it as the net score. The team with the lowest 9-hole score will win the event.
