3 FAQs Why fees and charges? The policy of the department is that those who participate in a program should help defray the overall costs of the activity. Fees and charges are therefore assessed according to the needs of the program such as staff, equipment, umpires, and maintenance. Participation in programs to Juneau residents will not be denied because of financial need. Please contact the Recreation Department for more information. A $5.00 late fee will be added to anyone registering for a program after the registration deadline.

How do I know if a program is cancelled? Programs may be cancelled due to weather or other unexpected events. Cancellations will be determined by the Recreation Director and/or coaches. To find out about a cancellation check the Facebook page or the New Website https://www.teamsideline.com/sites/JuneauWI/home Does the Recreation Department provide insurance? The Juneau Recreation Department does not provide medical insurance for injuries or an illness a participant may sustain in a program. All individuals participating in department sponsored activities must provide their own insurance and assume the risks of all injuries.

Can I volunteer at the Juneau Recreation Department? You can always volunteer at the Juneau Rec Department! Volunteers are needed to coach baseball and softball. If you can offer your time to help with any program, please indicate this on your child’s registration form or contact us here at the Rec Dept.

Participants not wanting their name and/or photo used must notify the Juneau Recreation Department in writing at the time of registration.

Will my child’s picture show up in the newspaper or on Facebook? The Juneau Recreation Department reserves the right to utilize photos and names of participants for publicity purposes.

What is the Registration Process? To register for a program, mail/drop off your completed registration form at the Community Center with payment or sign up online at https://www.teamsideline.com/sites/JuneauWI/home If required for a program, please make sure to list the fee and shirt size for all participants. Please keep in mind that the programs are on a first come, first serve basis. Registration and fees can be mailed to the address listed below or dropped off during Rec Dept. office hours. .

When is the registration deadline for baseball and softball? The registration deadline for baseball and softball Has been extended to March 20, 2021. No forms will be accepted after this date, unless a team does not have enough participants. A $5.00 late fee will be added to the program cost if registering after this date.

Discount Tickets

The Juneau Recreation Department Office sells tickets during office hours Monday through Friday. Only cash and check are accepted as payment. Please make checks payable to the Juneau Recreation Department. The Juneau Recreation Department receives .75 cents for each ticket sold. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES!

Tickets will be available to purchase for your summer adventures from May 17th, through September 2nd, 2021.

Spring Activities Easter Egg Hunt No registration required. Come search for the eggs the Easter Bunny has left all over the Juneau City Park! Play Ball!!! Mini All-Stars is a child’s first opportunity to kick off their baseball experience. How about going down a super chocolatey slip-n slide with a bunch of other messy toppings? Well then we have the PERFECT program for you! We’ll get super messy doing these activities and SO much more during Down, Dirty, and Messy!! Make sure you wear old clothes and bring a towel to somewhat clean off with, because we’re going to get SUPER messy!

One Day Programs

Nerf Gun War Do you love to play with Nerf Guns? Then we have the perfect program for you! Participants will be able to compete in large group war, with variations of the game, throughout a sectioned off area of the park. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place inside the Community Center.

This year we will be having two different times depending on age (This is the grade you will be going into) 1st – 2nd Grade: 10:00am – 11:30am 3rd-5th Grade: 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Please bring your own nerf gun and bullets. Also, please place your initials on your own materials. No worries if your child does not have a Nerf Gun. Just indicate this on your child’s registration form and we will supply one for them!

Fall Programs Flag Football Flag Football creates a competitive and fun atmosphere for girls and boys who are not old enough to play or choose not to play tackle football. Kids from 5K-6th grade are welcome.

Chicago Shopping Trip!!!

Join us for a winter wonderland shopping trip in the City of

Chicago!

We’ll be dropped off on the corner of Chicago Ave. and Michigan Ave.

You can use this time to shop, tour the city, take in the Christmas atmosphere,

or go to a one of a kind Show.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult

Rental Guidelines 1. Applications must be turned in with deposit in order to hold the date of your event. 2. Remaining balance must be paid 2 weeks prior to the event. 3. Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis. 4. Applicants with a reservation during the week should pick up a key (if needed) the day before your reservation. Applicants with a reservation on the weekend should pick up a key on the Friday before your weekend event. 5. If field prep is needed, please let us know what will need to done before your event. 6. If you are renting the Addie Joss Stand and the restrooms are not open, please call the Police Department. If you are renting the Juneau Softball Concession Stand, the key you have will allow you to unlock the restrooms from inside the stand. 7. Please leave the facility the way that you found it. Applicants must remove all garbage from facility and place in appropriate dumpster found at each location. 8. Concession Stands should have the counters and tables wiped down; floors swept and mop any stains or sticky spots that may be found on the floor. 9. Concession Stands should not have any type of grease dumped down the sink area. 10. Deposits will be returned upon inspection of facility. Failure to clean up the facilities could result in the loss of your deposit. 11. A two weeks notice of cancellation must be given before the event for a full refund. Temporary Liquor Licenses are not refundable. If the cancellation is less than two weeks; NO refund is given.
