After all frames have been typed in, press ENTER. Press F or S to indicate whether the bowlers will have the ability to select the frames they want (S), or are forced to accept the frames you typed (F).

D — Allows the operator to change the overhead display from the standard display to the PBA display (large size marks).

E — Enables or disables the exciters. After setting, or unsetting, the option, a list of all of the exciters will be displayed. Type the number of the exciter you are turning on or off, or type 99 to select all of the standard exciters. Control Desk Operations Chapter 7: Scorer Status F — When this option is set, it fills in the bowler's scores as they bowl when they have more than two strikes in a row. When this option is not set, the score for each of the frames that contain a strike, in the string of strikes, will not be filled in until the bowler bowls a frame less than a strike.

G — Enables or disables the bowlers' access to view their previous games.

H — When this option is set, the operator can change the assigned value of the high game exciter for the current customer. If a high game value of 0 (zero) is set, the special high game exciter is turned off.

I — This option allows the operator to select the type of bowler sequencer that will be on the lane. The choices are: color bar only or arrow only. By unsetting this option, the scorer will automatically default to both arrows and color bar.

J — When this option is set, the operator can choose an overhead display of 4-6 frames or 7-9 frames, depending on the length of the bowler's names. When this option is unset, the display will be in the 10 frame format.

K — Enables or disables the lane coach, which shows the bowler how to pick up spares. On lanes which have Instant Replay (IR) and BowlerTrack (BT), this option is used to activate IR/BT in league and tournament play. It is also used to change the default settings of IR/BT in all scoring modes.

M — When this option is set, it allows the operator to select T (the number of frames a bowler takes during each turn [2, 5, 10]) or L (the number of frames before changing lanes [1-10]). When the option is unset, each bowler receives one frame per turn.

N — When setting this option, the operator first selects the No Tap value, between 3 and 9. After the value is selected, the operator decides if this value is to be forced (all bowlers must use it); or default (no matter which value is selected, the default value programmed by the manager will be in effect). When the option is unset, the bowlers cannot use the No Tap game.

Q — When this option is set, no scoresheet will automatically be printed at the end of the game. When this option is unset, every scoresheet for this customer at this lane will automatically be printed on the scoresheet printer.

T — By turning this option on, the operator can enable the display of the bowler's cumulative series (in league mode) and allow the team's recap sheet to be displayed. In addition, the operator can choose to display marks in the running team total, instead of pinfall.

Chapter 7: Scorer Status Control Desk Operations V — Turns on or off only the video signal for the lane. This is used if the bowlers want to watch the TV and not listen to it.

W — Enables or disables the bowler's access to view another lane in the bowling center.

Y — When this option is set, the operator can allow the lane to have practice during open play. This option is also used to allow the bowlers' access to download names from the CMS Open Bowling Program to the scorer.

Z — When set, this option turns on the automatic advertising that the manager programmed in each of the scorers. If a lane comes up without a message, then it either was not programmed with a special message, or the scorer needs to be rebooted to activate the message.

$66FRUHU2SWLRQV A — Turns on or off only the audio signal for a lane. The audio signal automatically turns on when the video signal is turned on. This option is used when the bowlers want to listen to TV, but not watch it.

B — Enables or disables the bonus game which gives free strikes in the 3rd, 6th, and 9th frames. When this option is selected, each bowler can choose whether or not to participate in the special game.

D — When this option is set, the operator chooses whether to display all ten frames on the overhead in the large size for just one bowler or two bowlers per lane. The system will automatically display the bowlers in lineup number one and two, regardless of how many bowlers are on the lane. It is recommended that this option only be used when there are two or less bowlers on each lane, and that the bowlers' names are in positions one and two.

E — Enables or disables the exciters (, strike, double, turkey, etc.).

F — When this option is set, it fills in the bowler's scores as they bowl when they have more than two strikes in a row. When this option is not set, the score for each of the frames that contain a strike, in the string of strikes, will not be filled in until the bowler bowls a frame less than a strike.

H — When this option is set, the operator can change the assigned value of the high game exciter for the current customer. If a high game value of 0 (zero) is set, the special high game exciter is turned off.

Control Desk Operations Chapter 7: Scorer Status N — When this option is set, the operator chooses either 9 count No Tap, or 8 count No Tap. If 8 count is selected, the bowlers have the option at the scorer to select 9 count, 8 count, or regular bowling. (Use 9 for 9 count, and 8 for 8 count.)

Q — When this option is set, a scoresheet will not automatically be printed at the end of the game. When this option is unset, every scoresheet for this customer on this lane will automatically be printed on the scoresheet printer.

T — Turns on or off the display of the bowler's cumulative series (in league mode). This option can also be used to activate the viewing of the team recap sheet and to select marks as the running team total, instead of pinfall.

V — Turns on or off only the video signal for the lane. This is used if the bowlers just want to watch the TV and not listen to it.

X — This option reestablishes communications between the CMS and the scorer. It is used if a shaded bar appears in front of, or on, the lane number in the Lane or Scorer Status screens.

Z — When set, this option turns on the automatic advertising that the manager programmed in each of the scorers. If a lane comes up without a message, then it either was not programmed with a special message, or the scorer needs to be double-cleared to activate the message.

If you choose to leave a message, Brunswick's new Waitless Queue allows your message to hold your place in the queue and a technician will return your call as rapidly as if you had waited yourself. Brunswick will need the following information when you call: Your Brunswick customer number. The business or trade name of your center. A brief description of the symptoms you are experiencing. Any other pertinent information, including any error codes. If you choose to leave a message, Brunswick will need some additional information: The center phone number, including area code and country code, if applicable. Name of contact person(s).
