The person who has a crush on someone can often have uneasiness about how the partner thinks of oneself and be suspicious. If the feeling which one has a crush someone is strong, in one’s mind, it will have two large effects: sleeping time and selfish imagination. The person who has fully sleeping time may suddenly get difficult to secure it. Because they keep on thinking of that person. Some are depressed by groundlessly imagining something about them. “One thing” by One Direction is a love song about a boy who has a crush on a girl. The first verse shows the thing which happens when he sees the girl whom he likes. He has tried to play cool to attract her attention, but he cannot look cool anymore when he meets her. He seems to be afraid of expressing his feeling and lose his gut to tell it to her. The second verse is a simile. It is the figurative language describing how perplexed his feeling is. In the lyrics, he is a superman and she is the kryptonite which is a material from the” Superman mythos” and it has the effect on weaken the Superman. ” Shot me out of the sky.” and” You're my kryptonite.” means that he keeps on thinking of only her but she frustrates his feelings as her taking advantage of them. The third and fourth verse emphasize how perplexed he is right now and show what makes him that way. “Now I’m climbing the walls. But you don’t notice at all. That I’m going out of my mind all day and all night. ” means his impatience that his love for the girl which is very strong is not quite reached for her. In addition, the impatience is the same one thing in the girl which has made him crazy. However, in the lyrics, “one thing” is not clearly mentioned. Probably the meaning of much may be included in the word and it may not be able to be expressed by a word. However, based on the main idea of the song and in line with all the lyric lines, it is conceivable that “one thing” that the boy expects so much is her heart or her answer to say "I love you, too."
