A variation of a Jiggs dinner was served complete with appetizers and dessert. People were entertained by the “Kiss the Cod” por- tion of the evening. First step was to become official Newfoundlanders. Led by Andrew from the band, they got down on one knee, bowed their heads and repeated New- foundland Oath. Second, they had to eat some Newfoundland sausage (bologna). Third they had to kiss a very smelly cod. Fourth, they ended this Cultural experience with a drink of Screech (rum). Finally, these brave people received an official “Kiss the Cod” certificate!

Congratulations to all who did this and to Russell Barager for being such a good sport and holding the cod! (The worst job of the whole evening!)

Numerous live auction items included a week in Puerto Vallarta, donated by Bancarz. Accounting. Russell and JoAnne Liba won that bid. Thank you to everyone for your bids.
