The programs are open to university students (>18 years old) of all nationalities and academic background. Our programs enable students to obtain first-hand experience, college credits, and cultural exploration within an international setting based on academic and personal growth.

Module One:Chinese Traditional Culture and Architecture

Date: 3 August 2014 - 30 August 2014

This module is composed of 3 sections, Introduction to Chinese Traditional Culture and Architecture (ICTCA), Chinese Language and China Studies, as well as Field Trip. Campus activities will also be held to help merge into local community. Undergraduates major in architecture or those who have basic knowledge about architecture are welcomed. For those who are not architecture major, please specify your knowledge about architecture in the personal statement. Upon completion of this program, you will receive a transcript, a certificate of completion of study, and up to 4.5 units of credit from Tianjin University.

2 Module Two: Chinese Economy and Market

Date: 6 July 2014 - 2 August 2014

This module is composed of 3 sections, Introduction to Chinese Economy and Market (ICEM), Chinese Language and China Studies, as well as Field Trip. Campus activities will also be held to help merge into local community. Undergraduates major in business or management, or those who are interested in Chinese economy with basic knowledge of business are welcomed. Upon completion of this program, participants will receive a transcript, a certificate of completion of study, and up to 4.5 units of credit from Tianjin University.

Module Three:Research Placement

Date: 29 June 2014- 26 July 2014 This module combines Research Placement (lab internship) with courses on Chinese Language and China Studies and Field Trip. Campus activities will also be held to help merge into local community. Undergraduates or postgraduates with engineering background are welcomed. Please specify your research interest or internship plan in the personal statement. Upon completion of this program, you will receive a report, a certificate of completion of study, and up to 5.5 units of credit from Tianjin University.

Module Four: Enterprise Internship

This internship program consists of an UNPAID (but very often compensated) placement in Chinese enterprises which are long-term partners of Tianjin University. Around 20 positions are provided ranging from engineering to business.

The registration fee of 100 USD is due with the initial application for the program, which should be paid with application and is non-refundable. The Tuition / Internship fee, lodging, field trip and administration fee will be charged AFTER receiving the Letter of Acceptance.

Tianjin

Tianjin (Chinese: 天 津) is a metropolis in northern China and one of the five national central cities of the People's Republic of China (PRC). It is governed as one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the PRC, and is thus under direct administration of the central government. Tianjin borders Province and Beijing Municipality, bounded to the east by the Bohai Gulf portion of the Yellow Sea. Part of the Bohai Economic Rim, it is the largest coastal city in northern China. In terms of urban population, Tianjin is the fourth largest in China, after , Beijing, and Guangzhou. Tianjin is a dual-core city, with its main urban area (including the old city) located along the Hai River, which connects to the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers via the Grand Canal; and Binhai, a New Area urban core located east of the old city, on the coast of Bohai Sea.
